Spurs!!

Heard Spurs closed what a shame. Wonder why Charlie couldn't take control back, close/clean house an reopen. It was his cranken bar mades and manager and there family. Oh and the two bullies woman who sit at the bar. We will miss ya Charlie!!

Spurs is opening back up and the new name is the Brass Buckle. Its going to be a beer bar for a while till they acquire a liquor license. Supposedly Dee Dee from Home Cooking is the owner now. Anybody have any info on this?

i won't go if dee dee from home cooking owns it, the restaurant is dirty and nasty, so i am sure her bar will be dirty and nasty too.

Report to the State Health Dept, if you report it the health dept must check it out, I'm sure the contact number will be in your telephone directory.

First of all I would like you to no that Charlie had control of his bar from start to finish. He is the gentlemen that closed his nightclub and I personally no him ,his family and just about everyone and everybody that worked at his nightclub and his guest. I feel like you could have been one that might have been asked to leave OR maybe you were Bared???? What every the reason WHY must you call his help cranken bar mades or talk about their families. They were (bartenders) not bar mades!!! I hope you never have to hear people say bad things about you and you have no clue about it!!! I am someone who went the the bar a few times, and always enjoyed myself. Everyone working there always treated us with respect and made us feel like family. Don't be mad that you were trashy and unexcepted there. Spurs was a great place to go for a drama free good time.. Most people don't even know what they are talking about when it comes to Spurs and what happened to it.. at least i do and that's all that matters! So all you competitors who got on here and acted like someone else to trash on a great bar, YOU HAVE SERIOUS ISSUES. You probably are "buddies" with the new owners or another bar! GET A LIFE! Well Charlie, I'm sad to see Spurs Club close. It was such a nice place for us to come for a good time! WE WILL MISS YOU AND ALL YOUR GREAT HELP! Don't know what all the fuss is.. We came thru. stayed at the hotel.. and ate breakfast , lunch, and dinner at Home Cooking Cafe.. The Waitress were really great!! Friendly . Good looking!! The food was excellent!!! Then we went to the bar.. The brass buckle. Had a great time.. friendly people.. no drama. no fights. good beer.. Its true i could have used a shot of tequila!! But they are working on that.. I will be back thru. and will be stopping. Real Classy place.. I travel east coast to west on I-40.. they have truck parking!! This is a great place to go for no drama and no fighting. The music is Good Country music. They have a nice dance floor. Everyone there was really a pleasant stop in after a hard week of driving!! This place is at the top of our list for stops off I-40 to have a good time!!! All you Drivers need to check this place out!!! Exit I-40 behind the motel 6 and behind the Country Home Cooking!.. Definitely a Must Stop!!

been over there when it was spurs loved it charlie & his staff were wonderful to me! been over there several times since it has become the brass buckle dee dee and her staff are just as wonderful to me! best dance floor and bands in a 100 mile radius of canadian tx, sure i'd love a lil parrot bay but that's coming and the lack of drama and fighting kinda make up for it.
p.s. ate at home cooking cafe also and i had no problem with that either good prices,good food & friendly staff

home cooking is nasty and dirty look at health department violations and you will see, I have never been to her bar but I am sure it is as bad as home cookin I will go somewhere else or stay home

Closing could have been the DJ getting b/j while the band was playing or his loud mouth girlfriend and her childish pig sounds.

While u r checking the health dept things do notice alot of violations go back to 2004 did u really believe Braums had 0 or is that because they changed buildings
it is an old restaurant but they are as clean as most the others
