I believe there are some very talented kids that are on their way to the high school ranks. The Elks have implimented a brand new offense this year and have had moderate success. The Elks currently have the top 2 receivers in Class 4A and the top passer. The longer these kids are in the system the better they will be. This year the 7th grade quarterback threw about 16 touchdowns and NO interceptions in 7 games. We have to keep these kids from moving away and out of trouble. If we can do that, I truly believe there is going to be a power shift in 4A.

I agree 100%. There is a state championship team coming up. We need to support all of our local teams.

Well the Big Elks I used to know have Big seasons. These little Elkettes that played this year don't deserve the Title. Poor little Elks.

It's hard to say, 4A is a weak class.

I'm going to go with no though. If you want a championship, move to Clinton.

They have also thrown the ball more than 100 times more than any other of those teams. Also, not all team post their stats on there.

The stats are a product of the system, but if you know anything about high school football then you know that the kids still have to be able execute. Also, I did say "moderate" success, many of these kids are coming back next year and another year in this system should produce better numbers and more wins. Remember, this is only the first year running this offense.

No doubt, but from the looks of the stats they have no running game. They would get killed by a good secondary and pass rush.

Elk City had 477 yards of total offense and 33 points against Star Spencer who allowed an average of 14 points per game. 5 of thier (Star Spencer) players are being recruited by D-1 schools. They have an excellent secondary and pass rush. The Elks managed to keep the Trojan defense on its heels the entire night, thanks to the no-huddle hurry up style of play. The Elks came up a little short but if it weren't for that style of offense, the Elks would have never been in the game. You are right about this, the Elks do need to be more effective with the run game. They have 2 guys that will help with that problem next year. The Elks will have one of if not the most explosive offense in 4A next season. Friday nights performance on offense is a huge moral boost and shows that they can play with anyone.
