Nobody wants a house where all those peeing, puking, pooping kids lived. Besides, people probably still drive by and want their pic taken in front of the old Jon and Kate house. Why don't they just donate it to a church? After all, what is a loss of $300,000? It would be a great tax write-off. Donate it to the church where you bilked hard-working people out of their hard-earned money and then maybe I'll be quiet.

Kathy Griffin has a few words to say. Can't wait to hear what she has to say about the Snoot and Poot family.

In this economy a house not selling means nothing 3/10 or more in Las Vegas was lost to forclosure THOSE are the houses that are selling because they are cheaper.
I am sure that is the case in other areas as well.

calibrat is right. it is the economy, not the fact that it is jon and kate's house. anyone who follows the news knows what a financial crisis the world is in especially the housing market. Get a clue.

The point is not whether calibrat is right about the housing market -- the point is that J&K should be CHRISTIANS, like they profess to be, and donate that house to a needy family.

Now THAT would make good television (AND good karma for J&K).

I'm sure their BANK would love for them to give it away since they most likely still have a mortgage on it.
SO what they make money from the show that does not mean they have to give it their house away.

You betcha I would, if I were making $50,000-$75,000 per week, for every 1/2-hr. of televised film of my life - not to mention millions on book deals and personal appearances.

How about you?

That's true. That's the beauty of living in this country ... except for the government sticking its hands in people's money, it (money) doesn't have to be given away to anyone.

Donating a house is a heartwarming thought, but there are taxes and other expenses that a needy family might not be able to afford.

Most people would not be able to afford to move into a Million Plus house and still have to pay out a mortgage on house #1. When Jon and Kate started out on the show, they needed to sell their first cottage to move into the second house (or so the show claimed). Now, they have been escalated to a point where they can buy whatever they want whenever they want or perhaps have it donated.

Kate keeps saying MINE MINE MINE about the new house and property, but if they have a mortgage, it's not hers yet.

To answer some of the people here, yes if I had their kind of money and perks, I would feel the need to give back in some way. At the very least, they could lower the asking price for their old house or work a deal with a church or some charity that could afford to pay the taxes/maintenance on it. The simple truth is that I doubt anyone will want to live in Jon and Kate's old house after watching what a shrew she was to her children.
The people in the neighborhood say they are glad to not hear her constant yelling and not having to deal with her snotty attitude. Thank God and Greyhound Kate is gone is their mantra.

They would receive generous tax benefits for donating it. They will have to drop the price in this market. After all buyers are aware they are carrying two mortgages and see it as just a matter of time for the price to drop.

With so many Americans facing foresclosure they have the ability to pay two mortagages, I'll save any empathy I have for the struggling Americans who lost there jobs that aren't dependent on theeir kids to earn a living. They have sacrificed their family for money and now pay for the choices they made.

So what they want to make a profit on their home don't YOU ALL want to make money when you sell your home?
If it was a mega star who had millions would they also be expected to give their home away just because they had money?
We do not know how much they have donated anywhere to their church or whatever.
You are only hearing the people who have complaints about them the "press" can't sell there trash rags on people who have good stories about them,
because people only like to hear when people are in trouble.

Someone should buy it and give tours. Isn't this the house with the infamous laundry room. They could turn darken the room and turn on a black light=the vomit in that room will glow. [maybe this is why no one wants to buy it, in addition to the bad chi ]

You all do realize if the value of THEIR house goes down so does the value of the NEIGHBORS houses.
The sale value of 1 house can effect the sales of other houses that surround it.

I have no idea who you are replying to but if it's me where did I say that shouldn't make a priofit? Stop reading things into what is said.

There are great tax deductions for donating a house In today's housing market selling a house and making a profit isn't always how it works out.
Look around...readf a paer...foreclosed homes like their can be purchased at a fraction of their asking price. Just depends how long they want to keep paying the mortgage and taxes, insurance and maintaing the grounds.

You don't know what donations they have made either, I never made any claims one way or the other. See it goes like this...there are all kinds of opinions about these two out there...some u will agree with some you won't that's just how it is...don't get so upset.

Stop reading things into posts and stop guessing about what they have done...no one has come forward to say they have been generous. People can only comment on what is out there.

I do think if anyone bought it, they would have to have a priest come and sling holy water, burn some sage, burn all the carpets and flooring, have it cleaned, maybe just demolish it and start over. Maybe extreme home makeover could just tear it down.

The tours are a good idea too. I co-own a property that had/has really bad energy. I would never want to live there again. It has been a rental.
No one wants to buy it either. I'm thinking of just signing over my part so as not to have to deal with the bad energy. I was going to donate my portion to a church, but you have to have full ownership to do so. I checked into it. There's a church right down the road and they might could have found a good use for the property.

I give away my portion of the rent every month because the co-owner is a widow. She makes really great money, but she could use more to pay off things. Maybe that will offset my posts I have made while recuperating.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
