Crowne Pointe Primary Care will prescribe it, but you will have to keep a food and excercise journal and go see them once per month. You can only have it for 6 months. $80 for first visit, then $30 for each visit after that. Unless your insurance will pay for weight loss. Most wont.

Yes, there are people who need to watch what they eat and to actually exercise. However, making a sweeping statement like you did shows a large amount of ignorance. Not all obesity issues are related to stuffing your face. I have taken this medication, at one time, to speed up metabolism. I had a gym membership, spent 4 of seven days there, kept the journal of my diet and also pushed large amounts of water and B Complex. Nothing was working. This did help some of the weight come off. Turned out that there was another issue with my metabolism and age, now i do not need them but they did help. Dont assume things. Not everyone who is overweight is a lazy pig.

what is an idot? LOL This medication does not actually speed up your metabolism. Its in the amphetamine family... it's pretty dangerous and addictive. It can cause heart problems, mental health issues (it can cause an imbalance of chemicals in the brain) and many other health problems. Obviously you(fattys an idot, lol), had another under lying issue that this drug (phentermine) would not fix. Most people that take this drug abuse it. Most people that take this drug need to work on their self control. BTW 4 of 7 days really isn't enough to loose weight, especially for women. The latest studies suggest 60-90 min of exercise 7 days a week to loose weight and at least 60 min of exercise 5 days a week to maintain.

You obviously weren't doing something right...you think the people on the Biggest Loser took this little pill...besides your wasting your time as soon as you stop taking it you will balloon back up.

yes, "speed" speeds up the way that the body burns energy. speeding up the metabolism. I was constant with the dietary journals the exercise routine, not just the gym, and yes, the pill did help me loose the weight, it also showed that there was something else going on, i was lucky and had a great doctor. Age had changed the chemical balance, the weight stayed off when i lost due to the pill but couldnt get any to go unless i was taking it. now with the same routine and diet i am at my ideal weight. without the use of the pill. It does need doctors supervision and it is not the easy way out and shouldnt be considered as such, i was making the point that not all problems with obesity relate to stuffing your face as you put it or exercise routines.

I took it in high school, it basically made me not eat at all, and i lost tons of sleep because i didnt get sleepy. It is highly adictive, and when i quit takin it i gained the weight right back. Because it is a temp. Solution to a permanint problem, i would recommend working out even if its in the privacy of your own home. Doing that and watching what i ate helped alot. Drinking alot of water helps make you feel full so you eat less.
and there are other tings that make ppl overweight such as diabetes and thyroid problems. Being over weight is hard for alot of people, but keep your head held high and try to better your life. Instead of sitting on the couch eatin chips, try eatin veggies with lil or no dip. And try takin a walk, or ride a bike. Get active it really helps.
good luck to you i wish you the best!

I been on it for almost three weeks and it hasnt made a bit of difference in anything with me. I have heard though for some it doesnt work. So I have jsut been pushing myself to go to the gym more and I walk daily and have cut out alot of carbs and sweets and chips. So far eating veggies and fruits more has really helped. I did the same thing last yr and lost 20 pounds in three months just walking everyday and eating more healthy. Then as soon as winter came and all the holiday dinners it came right back. So thats the thing alot of folks, even myself have to realize who have weight issues is we have gotta stick with the program and not fall off because the weight will pile right back on.

Learn how to lift weights properly and your "Weight loss problems." won't exist. It'll probably fix your chemical imbalances, as well.

There is no substitute for diet and exercise. Lots of people get into a vicious cycle of fad diets. Atkins, south beach, etc. but you have to make a lifestyle change. Moderation in food as well as quality of food plus a physical fitness routine will shed pounds and keep pounds most of the time. Although there are some legitimate health disorders, most overweight people just eat wrong and dont budget time for fitness.
