Looking for local preppers that would like to network information, learning, concerns, discussion etc.
Preppers are individuals who prepare their family in the event of emergencies i.e. tornado, earthquake, flood, natural or man made disasters. Individuals who stock food and medicines as a priority. Self reliance.

I admire the preppers and most I view are preparing themselves for the fallout of what our inferior politicians are causing.
Maybe, though, they should take some active stance to run these bastards out of office to restore America to what it once was, rather than taking an offensive stance of 'holing up'.

I tend to prep for the more realistic problems are, natural disasters that may result in an extended time of no help, hell the current economical situation, the impending inflation, weakening dollar and the fact ya buying less gas to put food on the damned table.
Most preppers anymore encourage a community atmosphere. The days of people holing up with just their family in a home is or should be gone. Gotta have help, and be prepared to help as well.
As far as the politics, yea, the economy and alot more can be directly traced to those idiots who have long lost touch with the common man and woman.

I've been prepping off and on since Y2K. My husband at the time gave me a hard time over it so I handed him his divorce papers and married someone who will have my back if TSHTF.
IF you are just starting out make sure you buy what your family will eat. Check out the Mormons food storage plan and read whatever you can get your hands on. You will need water or water purifiers, food-canned,dry,dehydrated ect, seeds (learn to garden and can), medical supplies, extra of everything.
There is no reason you can't on a budget prepare. Reuse your 2 liter soft drink bottles for water, rice, beans, sugar, salt ect. Make sure you have blankets, sleeping bags and extra clothes ready to go if you need to leave your home.
Don't panic. Just decide what you need and start doing it.
