To all the Citizens of Virginia Beach -
Your City is OPEN during a Nor'easter. YOUR City Manager has decided that even though Military Institutions, other cities, courts, and all school systems are closed for the safety of their employees and patrons, the City of Virginia Beach will be open for business as usual. While the Police Department and News Media advise people to stay home and off the streets, City of Virginia Beach Employees risk their lives driving to work. The sad truth is that while some people might think we should just call in "sick" to work, there are thousands of City employees that will do the right thing and go to work. We are ALL underpaid, not just your beloved City Manager. The difference is that most of us earn a normal income, not six figures.
