Thanks to ultra liberalism in the AFT, teachers are handcuffed in being able to discipline their students. N ot that they have the right to punish the student severly, but not having any right to punish at all. What a waste of talent and money in the public school to handicap teachers who are so willing to go the extra mile to see that students are being taught properly. This should awaken the parents who can afford it to transfer to a private school or to home school their children they are concerned for.

Simple response to this problem, put up a beware of dog sign, setup an electric fence, and then buy a 240lb mastiff, dude won't be looking in your windows on your property anymore.

I know some people that have been up for expulsion. You have to have a meeting with the school board before it can be done - the whole innocent until proven guilty thing. I sure he will be expelled, but they have to go through the steps.

"What does this have to do with liberals or the NRA since it was a knife attack ?" DUH That's the whole point. For many years now the leftwing liberals have tried to blame crime and violence on the law-abiding gun owners. Harley was pointing out that crimes like this happen all the time, but have nothing to do with firearms. Then he offered condolences to the teacher.
So the Virginia Tech massacre would have been just as horrendous w/o a gun, I suppose? Brilliant logic.

old school parent wrote:
the problem with these children is these children nowadays don't have enough discipline. we need to bring out the belts! enough with the time outs it's time to go old school on them. if they had been raised the old school way, these kids wouldn't act so much like animals. in my day if you got out of line with and adult, your parent would get that phone call and mom would show up with a belt and that would be the end of it. you would be the parent and not the police!
I agree that we need to go back to the old way that worked. Our government has sutck their noe into our lives and said "you can't smack your children cause it's abusive" that's why kids are so far out of hand. parents can't dicipline their kids or the cops get called for abuse. Face it people, the kids control the family now, if you want to keep your kids.

Well said, Old School Parent. Why teach your children to resolve conflicts peacefully when you can get out the old belt and whip them into shape.

This is a horrible thing to happen to a teacher! I teach Family and Consumer Sciences in the same district and hate to have to think this happened to one of my colleagues. Our students feed in to EHS. I hope this NEVER happens again to anyone.

JOE, The "brilliant Logic" behind all of this is that law-abiding people who believe in the 2ND Amendment are constantly being blamed for the criminal acts of others. A gun can only kill in the hands of someone who is willing to break our laws and kill someone. If someone is vicious enough to randomly kill a couple of dozen students at a college or high school, he/she doesn't need a gun. Sit in the car and wait for the bell to ring, and mow students down like bowling pins. Timothy McVeigh murdered over 200 people in Oklahoma with a home-made truck bomb.
The FBI did a 15 year research project interviewing prison inmates, many of which had murdered police officers. They came up with 3 basic conclusions. Almost without exception: 1) Criminals don't buy their guns from legally licensed dealers. 2) They don't get them from trade shows. 3) Criminals don't give a damn what the law says, that's why they're criminals. The liberal news media has all but buried this from the public. Blaming law-abiding citizens for the criminal acts of someone else, and taking away rights from law-abiding citizens does not stop criminals from getting guns. It also makes law-abiding homeowners more vulnerable to home invaders who have weapons.

My wife is a teacher and if any of her punk students ever did that to her, I'd torture them, break both of their legs and kill their entire family.

Teachers have a hard thankless job.

Stevie Wonder??? Stay on track here - what does that have to do with anything. The loss of her eye is a huge thing - especially for someone in her profession - which I am sure she will not be in any longer. Fear factor alone will drive her away. What a shame.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
