Credit-card debt could be negotiated

Dear Bruce: My husband passed two months ago. He left two credit cards with balances of $11,000 and $5,000. Those two cards were under his name only.

My husband has almost $20,000.OO of Credit Card Debt. My name is not on his Credit Cards. If he should pass away owing this money, will I have to pay off his debt ??
