This is a traumatic experience for anyone. Given the age difference and what was happening she must have had a lot of fear and shame about reporting it. I would be very surprised if he hadn’t of threaten her and her family if she told anyone. Moving away from the situation and feeling safe helped her step forward. I hope if nothing else, it will help others step forward when things like this happen.

The report was made weeks ago and sent to a Lieutenant who went on vacation and did not forward this case to anyone. If it had not been for a follow up call nothing would have been done to date.

I love the way you wrote this comment in a poem like format. Seems like you spent a lot of time on it. Good for you. Get the facts straight. A lot of the teen pregnancies in this city are due to lack of sexual education. No Sex Ed, No Fear. I'm sure that if kids these days got more of a sexual education maybe the consequences of their actions might weigh a little heavier in their heads.

Men (18 and older) should be questioned about any type of relationship with an underage girl. It is sad to see young girls walking around 9 months pregnant. There is nothing we can do about it. I just believe that maybe Healthy Start or some other County or City organization should step in, come up with something, some type of program about STD's, Pregnancy, Risks of Underage Sex. TEACH these KIDS!!! I'd be more than happy to help it out, I'm sure it can make some sort of difference!

Who is Mr. Green anyway? Why is he not already in prison for the first time around? Is this state too easy on Rapists? Is Deming a "Halfway House" for Rapists? Mr. Green is a pedophile, who obviously took advantage of this child. Keeping her age in mind imagine the guilt and shame he must have inflicted upon her, to the point she felt she had to flea for help in another state. To add to her confusion The report was sent to a Lieutenant who went on vacation and did not forward this case to anyone.(Not until a followup call was made?) How much more do they intend this child suffer as if being RAPED wasn't bad enough.
