Seems like the same idiots (same group of people) are always protesting - just to protest. I heard some were arrested. Hope they keep them locked up.

Hmmmm...let me get this right. Council member sells land for spaceport project. Another council member owns the trucking company that has the contract. Streets can't handle the traffic of said trucks.(I see another contract coming here.) Council member/banker supplies money for additional trucks. Am I the only one to see a pattern?

Is that really a story? Three vague paragraphs. Are they launching gravel into space too? What the...? Who are the "some" they reference? "But on the ground..."? WHAT? It's not as if there are already people in space looking down at the pedestrians of T or C and laughing at them. FAIL!

Were any of the protestors illegal space aliens wearing orange jumpsuits?
Target just had a ton to get rid of.

These protesters are the same crazies you see in Santa Fe. They are paid 500.00 a week by one of the networked left leaning Santa Fe non-profits.

"Oklahoma,we have a problem". Was the headlines in a popular OKC news magazine back on 7/09.
The RocketPlane spaceport never
got off the ground with 18 million dollars in state tax credits in OK. Again, I know New Mexico's state government has everyone's best interest in mind. They know what they are doing. Don't they.

Protesters are losers. Just like those jobless idiots that would stand on Central ABQ in front of Kelly's with their honk for peace signs. I am trying to enjoy a beer and all these idiots are honking their horn because some Obama loving liberal jerk off is holding sign to honk for peace. The war is over because of his sign. Idiot.

More delivery trucks come down Date Street to Wal Mart than the number of trucks that will be going to the Spaceport... The road is fine...

I live here in T or C, and just like when these idiots protested Wal-Mart coming, they represented a SUPER SMALL MINORITY of how the people down here feel about things. Most of us are thrilled about the Spaceport and the prospect of high paying jobs to keep our young people here or bring them back here after college.

Absolutely one of THE all-time worst written, researched and reported stories of the year.

WHO was the group that protested?

That would make this more interesting.

And their concern is for pedestrians in the road?

Tell the pedestrians to cross at the light (if they have one down there).

What was the purpose of this story if its not even interesting enough to the reporters to research and flesh out?

An editor has the power to either cut a story or demand that a reporter get more and develop it.

I thought everybody hated the spaceport as a huge boondoggle to the state? I figured any kind of protester would be welcome if it shut it down, after all it's the spaceport: the hated tax drain boondoggle richardson goober spaceport. Now suddenly the spaceport is great and the protestors are bad?

I'm pretty sure they are just jealous when someone actually DOES something instead of sitting back and revealing to us all their exalted opinion.

Maybe their REASON was so ridiculously inane that they showed their political hand and therefore undermined any and all future efforts of theirs to protest.

That could have something to do with.

There is nothing more detrimental to a protestor's effort than ineffectual protests.

They're embarrassing and when done wrong at the start they make any future "statements" by the same group suspect and lacking in credibility.

It was a very weak stance and a weaker appearance.

Your imagination is working well today and ready to take off on flights of fancy. A little daydreaming will lead to some inspired ideas, as will discussing your thoughts with someone who's on the same wavelength as you. Speaking of wavelengths, you could have a telepathic experience now that defies explanation.
