Steven Erato of Neenah charged with child abuse at motorcycle shop

i know this man and he is a great person ! lets c a 17 year old 3rd degree black belt going after a 59 year old with arthritis ! guess they left that lil bit of info out of the article !

Yeah the young guy got charged with assault with a deadly weapon. But whats really weird is the cops and the post crescent really went after the Erato guy cause he's a biker. child enticement, child abuse? I can't believe the newspaper used such inflamatory headlines. I guess if had lit a firecracker they would have put the titleErato blows up neenah.......

The article was prejudice in nature..this as I was told by the Postcrescent staff was the "complaint" then that should have been stated as this is "alleged complaint filed" not as factual with misleading head line.."lure" when the Grandfather brought him ! overstated for affected I am sure..bat vs bamboo stick...This young man has violated some guide lines with his family and with frustration the words might come out as they do with many or majority of adults but the action does"NOT" take place his life was not in jeopardy his actions/stealing are in demand of outside assistance.Steve is a good person and a victim of poor judgement by the Grandfather to alter a faltering situation..Don't be so quick to judge a man you know little about..Shame on the reporter who did little reporting!!

It is a fool who draws a conclusion with out all the facts..It is not what we read but what we don't that makes the outcome..I ask that with Steve you listen to all the facts before you make a comment.I have over the years been impressed with him and the manner he quietly lives his life allow him the same respect..

It never ceases to amaze me how much factual information is left out in the pursuit of a sensational story. Let's see, Erato is a biker & has a bike shop, therefore he's a crazed violent psycho that beat up a 17 year old kid? Come on, people. Steve Erato is a responsible hardworking businessman, father & husband that has annually hosts charity functions raising thousands of dollars for various causes in our state. Reading some of the additional insights from these other comments reveals there's obviously more to the story, and the sad part is, the majority of people won't end up knowing the facts of what happened, just see the scandalous headlines and make a judgment about Steve's character. The worst part is that he'll now have to spend tens of thousands on a lawyer to fight this,(which ISN'T reimbursed if he's vindicated or the charges later dropped) and because the charges are "child abuse" and are of a violent nature, he'll now have prosecutors and social services probably crawling all over his home life keeping his children "protected" from him. Not to mention how this will affect his business!

i agree ! how is it that this a fair in any way ? and the reporter who wrote this should b ashamed ! Steve and Mike are good people and just cause their bikers mean nothing ! the young man in question is a very troubled young man ! where is the head line stating something to the fact of,,, 17 year old 3rd degree black belt attacks 59 year old man at his place of business and friend comes to aid ! nope the small minded reporter left alot out ! must b nice to lie and or leave out alot of facts ! i just pray that this all will b over soon and maybe the reporter can wright the truth for once or go work for the star or something ,,they like inventive reporters !

My name is Vince Brant I am Steve's cousin, we have been like brothers for as long as I can remember. Steve is a good person,a great father of two beautiful girl's and his son Vinnie who past away at the age of 6, a loving son, and someone who will always be there for his brothers & sisters, and a Vietnam veteran. I am asking you not to judge him until the whole story can be told.

Steve Erato is an outstanding man with moral values and excels in character. This is just another example where a family situation can tarnish a person's life forever. Fact or Fiction - only Steve his family and friends and many supporters know - we don't easily get entertained by overblown headlines.

I think it's great that Steve's friends are posting here. I don't know Steve but I would've jumped to the wrong conclusion from the newspaper article. It did seem a little odd, but weren't enough facts. I consider myself better informed now and wish I knew Steve, he sounds like a very good guy and must be to have friends like he has.

Well it can't be all true or can it be hmmmmsteve has a temper and has beat on older men in his shop why wouldn't that stop him from beating a kid

This man has beat multiple people , when your the "president" of a "Motorcycle Gang" how much is there to really worry about ?

man was not charged with assault with a deadly weapon ... it was Erato. Need glasses?

well dear the last time I checked this is a free country n if u dont like what people write dont read it ! Steve n I have been friends for a number of years ! n i believe what i want n what is ur connection to all of this ? do u know the people that this is pertaining to ? were u there ? the only one`s who can say what happened were the people involved ! there r always 3 main part to a story ,, his , his n the truth ! as for me n mine we choose to support a man the we love n has always been there for us !

well hm seems i was wrong i had heard from a cop the kid was up for charges but i guess the D.A. didn't go for it. The kid probably won't be charged for underground fighting either that might hurt the biased charges against Mr. Erato. As someone who has been threatened by a underaged punk in the past. by the way 6'2 and trained in martial arts I kind of empathize with mr. Erato. I though was well trained in submission holds and the boy man's father showed up and took charge of the idiot. sometimes you have to defend yourself or you end up a victim so i am not going to judge obviously biased charges or attempts to trump up charges against someone just because you guess he is a bad guy
