A Dog That Moos: He Was Born Different

It's so sad that a dignified group like Focus on the Family needs to use donated monies from their ministry to counter a soft campagne. Perhaps the Reverend James Dobson would like to spend some of his monies to help the homeless in Colorado Springs?

that may be well and good, but i think that j.d. ought to watch the ads again. they're really cute. has he totally lost his sense of humor?

Again I say Norman rules, Sherman drools. Focus is basically using a cut out to potray a dog. Scared that a dog named sherman might start talking? Was Lassie even just a regular dog?

The money Gill spent on this ad could have been used for the Aids research or meds. Besides didn't relate this to dogs. What a waste 900,000!

Sure, the Norman ad is cute...but totally counterproductive. If the point is that people are born gay then the Norman ad contradicts that. Dogs bark, not moo. To equate gays with mooing dogs is akin to likening gays/lesbians to freaks of nature. When I first heard of the ad I thought it was part of an anti-gay campaign. The ad seems to be saying that being gay is as unnatural as mooing dogs.

I agree it is a disastrous analogy. I thought, "If only there were SOME dogs who moo, then it would be valid." Since dogs do not moo, and are not born making different noises than other dogs, it will only open us up to the charge that, like Norman, we were not born different, and if we moo (so to speak) it is of our choice.

What were they thinking? And why are we our own worst enemy?

He's cute, and it's funny. But people are going to understand NO dogs moo. It makes a counter point we didn't intend.

The puppy moos. I saw him at the pound before the people from Born Different adopted him. It's not editing or anything... I've heard him. It's crazy. But yes... the dog moos.

Wow,,, that is intersting.. All I need now is a boyfriend who quacks... LOL...:)

I hope this campaign will work with the initiatives on the Colorado ballot this year... It would be nice to have 'the people' pass civil unions for us..

If you were educated you would make a point and not criticize. Proper English or not Gadget makes a good point. People in this country are homeless, hungry and the Katrina victims are still that, victims. Dobson should put the money to good use instead of pushing his agenda.

Has anyone here watched The 700 Club?Focus On The Family is nothing more than a group of ,"I used to be gay but now I'm straight"people who go on to protest too much.News about a mooing dog is less drepessing than hearing about the recession.
