People can take guided tours of the firehouses and Jon Riley can be their tour guide.

Warner Bros inquired about the possibility of Buying Mare Island to use as a closed production site. Jobs jobs jobs, slaes sales sales! Vallejo was already holding hands with Lennar. Tourists? Vallejo will be as popular a tourist destination as Chernobyl is.

I think Vallejo tourism is just lacking creativity. We are on the verge of losing a great annual draw with the POWWOW just barely hanging on.
Most people fascinated by native american cultures, so what better than the city expanding on the powow theme.
I can imagine a 3 day event where you can reserve a teepee and participate in various tribal customs and food and learn crafts and see outdoor skills and kids playing games and dances by the fire and under the stars!
Why can't the ferry service have friday and saturday night boat parties with entertainment on the wharf!
Why can't mare island have fun tours of old navy barracks or military style "diet camps".
Someone needs to get creative and bring the tourist to Vallejo!!

It's apparent many in Vallejo have no idea what goes on there. First up for the tours, Vallejo residents ! And you won't even have to take the Ferry to get there!

Could be on to something here! I bet there are a few that would LOVE a tour of a ghetto town, if they haven't seen one before!

Why all the cynicism? If you like Vallejo and want it to thrive, just commit to doing SOMETHING this year towards helping in your neighborhoods or anywhere you see a need.

Come to Vallejo and tour city hall, you may get lucky and see the most expensive job in the world, the city manager.
Quiet please,he is busy working on his plans to bring Vallejo many businesses. He is famous for development you know.
We must be very careful, he cannot be disturbed. He is a very busy man. Just look around Vallejo and you can see how successful he really is.
Come to Vallejo for tour some day. There really is nothing else to look at.
Or you can tour our famous liquor stores, smoke shops, empty Walmart lot, Empty store fronts. If you stand in one spot long enough you might see a robbery up front and personal.

As you can see, you are talking to the Vallejoans who will whine and cry 24/7 before they will step up for the city and do something to create positive change. Vallejo is where it is at because of people like this. We can't even get Vallejoans to vote, so why would they care about improving the city and finally seeing something good happen here? These attitudes are killing the city.

These attitudes are killing the city. Erika, the citizens have spoken several times. The city council never listens. Too many failure to talk about, but the most recent was Walmart going to AmCan. Did you see the latest figures? 70% of Walmarts business in AmCan is Vallejo and Benicia residents. Tax dollars gone. You really thing that the Nugget is coming to Vallejo? Well, there goes another 20yrs. Honey, people like you are the real problem. You voted Gomes into office. She is the worst city council member I have ever seen in regards to bringing in new business. She has been against new business ever since she was running for office. This city is truly doomed. As soon as I can, I am selling my home and my wife and I are moving to a city where you can enjoy places to walk around safely. I personally don't enjoy all the dime stores, smoke shops, and other nothing stores in downtown Vallejo. We live on Ohio street along the water side. Nothing has changed in the last 15yrs. So long as soon as we can. We will call you and get updates on your new business in Vallejo. This city council and city manager are too involved in this safety union thing. They have forgotten about the rest of us.
