The road from D-St, Petaluma, to Pt. Reyes is a regular "killing field" for the local critters, sad to say.
Some have discovered that if You drive like a bat outta hell, You can beat 101 south-bound morning traffic to central Marin, but that was a decade ago...Now there's a reasonable speed-limit, but Nobody follows it, and I've almost been hit head-on by drunks on numerous occasions.
Last year, on a drive from Faifax to Petaluma, I counted 19 downed deer, there really needs to be more law-enforcement in this area.
