I myself have not posted on Spokane either, though I did have some family in that area. Maybe if you can find a posting that will jog my memory. Was it on this forum? Or perhaps one of the other topix forums?
Eh it was just a misconception. Who are you related to?

The Perkins family, they actually lived in Prosser to the South West quite a distance from there. This was in the late 80s that I remember going there one winter, some of the Youngs that were close friends lived up there for awhile then.

The attrocities committed down through the years in the name of science and medicene is well documented. The experamentation on human slaves, cutting them open while still alive to see the inner functions of the body. Lobotomies to cure mental disorders. Shock treatments. The list is endless. God only created doctors in that they're human and that's all. It would be like saying God gave us scientist's to create the atom bomb. Science is all about trial and error and medicine is no differant To say they have been
givin devine abilities is to ignore history. They
obtained thier knowledge through trial and error.
However you see this discussion, please don't try to give doctors sainthood
It appears to be about six of one and half a dozen of another which has done more harm to their fellow man and their physical and mental well being...doctors or religious people,(in the name of God of course).

God doesn't cross man's free will to choose to do either evil or good.

Hello. I am Jared from the Church of the Firstborn in Spokane. I heard you talking about how someone went to a physician in the 1930's. I am not on here for contention or opposition. I am curious of where you heard this story of a Bocook "going to the doctor." Because you must have heard this from someone of the generation before you. I know that my grandpa Jacob Bocook had to go to a doctor visit because his railroad work required him to go or else he wasn't going to get paid. He absolutely didn't believe in doctors and he believed that once someone went they had no hope afterwards. He just probably counted it as an "ordinance of man" or something. Anyway, if you could tell me this information that would be nice.
This is strong meat as well, if the righteous can accept it as Christ intended when he set forth this parable. Let those who have ears...hear.

And he said, "Go and do likewise".

It's really "strong meat." I would have to go through extensive explanations to tell you. Readers might not be able to handle what some people might interpret that I have read. I want to emphasize that I personally don't interpret it that way, but some people do. So, I would like you to email me if you are curious enough. Want my e-mail?
This is what cults do. They claim that their revelation from God is "strong meat" or too difficult for others to handle.

Jared, why not share with everyone to read, the interpretation you are talking about. If it is from God, then no one here will be able to deny it...

Possibly, I knew an Elder of that name but I do not think he was associated with Washington, but his son-in-law was. What was his last name?

Jesus didn't make things too difficult for people to handle. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you isn't hard to understand. The real gospel of Jesus Christ is simple enough that little children know and understand it.

Never knew him...My guess is he would have known some of the Bosch family and others and I am sure we had mutual acquaintances. Without going through a roster of names though that would be tough to narrow down. Either way I personally did not know any from that area you have named. Always glad to hear from brethren though, wherever they may be from.

Agreed. And those who have a history of being deceived usually unwittingly fall into other deceptions while leaving the last one!

I personally know people of this religion and met them by chance. And no not at church because this is not my religion. I dont have a religion, i have faith and my own personal relationship with God. BUT these people are the kindest most open hearted people i have ever met. They instantly made me feel like a member of the family. So as far as your comment they dont let anyone ouside of their religion in. Thats false, these people have jobs even some of the woman in places where every one works. They have freindships with people other than people who are their religion. And alot of times they even marry people outside of their religion. No body should pass judgement on anybody and personally i feel especially when all they know is based on ignorant facts.

Kara, You did notice the part where Kathy's sister objected and grieved about the fact that these COFB church people you are bragging on and defending, allowed her to bleed to death without calling for an ambulance because of their doctrines, didn't you?
This wasn't passing judgment based on ignorance, but on FACT. One has to wonder how you would feel if this happened to your child.

My dads side of the family was raised in this church and the were lead to believe that allowing the medical profession to help in the time of need would make then evil and send them to hell. I have seen not only my own dad deny medical attention but his 7 brothers and sisters. All of them suffered or are currently suffering because of you teachings. My aunt just yesterday decided to go to the hospital after months of internal bleeding...but when she entered the hospital, she was convinced that all the medical employees were wicked. Checked herself out against medical advice and is home in pain and most likely suffering a horrible death. I am a born again christian and there is nothing in the scripture that says that seeking medical attention is a bad thing. I feel that your church is a cult and you are deriving from scripture. Right now I a angry. Not only because of the non biblical things you are teaching people but that you get them in a vulnerable state and teach then that their destiny is he'll if they seek help from man. Did not God create man in His image? With abilities and brains?

U people are so board that you sit and find a way to call people out wether it's their religion, race, or if they are poor. Well I'm poor and I've been to the hospital 3 times in my life once for when I was born once to get a note and once when I got my jaw broken in three different places and I ended up pulling the wires out with pliers a few days later. My point is people go to the hospital three times a week for nothing. You think us as a race survived all these years cause of a hospital? No bones heal cuts heal. When I'm sick I work it's the fastest way for it to leave the body people now days are so fragile and if your wondering yes I go to that church it's not a cult that's about stupid to say YOU DO WHAT YOU WANT IT'S YOUR DECISION I do I go out and date outside of the church I even have a kid on the way and I drink a lot so a cult? If that's what u want to call it.

Hi Miller..I don't blame you for being angry and frustrated. You know, the scriptures warn about deception and doctrines of demons. I believe the devil has doctrines he has planted in the church that has taken root and grown, producing some very wicked fruit. The devil introduced a doctrine to Eve in the garden of Eden, and then Eve, forgetting the words of God bought the devil's lies. That's how doctrines of devils get started. People need to get their hearts right with God, and then study the scriptures for themselves, asking the Holy Spirit for truth and guidance, and then, there is a good possibility they will come out from under the influence of these doctrines of demons. Looking at the track record of this church, and the trail of suffering and death, one is only left with one conclusion, it teaches doctrines of demons.
I can only pray Jesus Christ will use you to talk to your family, telling them the truth that will set them free. God bless you Miller.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Leo

This is one of those days when money slips through your fingers in no time at all unless you're very vigilant about your spending habits. Unfortunately, it will be difficult to stop yourself splashing out whenever the fancy takes you, whether or not you can afford it. You're especially drawn to tempting little treats and luxurious indulgences.
