So much for CNN's headline today about unemployment job claims sliding:

Leviton Mfg has been around for a few years. They've been a steady employer, and El Paso has been a good labor pool for them.

Too bad that they've felt the economic slowdown, but at least they didn't go belly-up trying to stay in business.

Hope they've made the modifications that'll allow them to survive, so that they'll be around to call back their laid-off employees asap.

The worst is yet to come the way these libs are spending and printing money.

No thanks to Bush's TARP either. Obama is just continuing where Bush left off.

manufacturing of these type of products is dead in the U.S., your right NAFTA hurt the manufacturing industry the worst, but now it is time to change the industry into something more profitable.

nobody is saying the recession is over. they are saying it is slowly recovering. even if McCain was in office the economy would be in the same state or worse, because he would probably be trying to blow up Iran. you conservative rejects take every piece of nonsense and try to twist it into a negative pile of idiocy. try to use some logical thinking and initiate your own change, instead of waiting for politicians to save you.

Well, send your reps and senators a thank you note for Nafta. Maybe we start subtracting from all the jobs moving into El Paso.

We need to assume the blame as the citizens who supported the politicians who instituted and sold Nafta.

Don't blame Obama. He was not the guy who signed this off.

Let's take credit for the mess that we allowed.

How's that HOPE & CHANGE working out for you?

Are you better off now after having Obama in office for nearly a year?

It's okay .... you can tell the truth.

I personally don't care much for the Hope & Change. I expected nothing from this guy and am getting nothing. I expected nothing from the other one as well and have gotten nothing.

Your hope and change really applies more to people who make less than 6 figures.

I don't see much change from where I'm standing.

How's it working out for you? I personally don't count on any of these guys to change my life. I change it as I feel.

If you spend your life waiting for hope and change driven by others, you are in for a rude awakening.

You are important to 1 person and 1 person only, you!

Oh yeah, telling you the truth.

So, once again, let's take credit for the mess we made and move on.

Bush's domestic policy sucked

Obama's policies in general suck

Until we can get Pelosi, Reid and people like Barney Frank out of office, I think the USA is in deep sh!t

Glad to see that you also disagree with what went on in the Bush years.

1 yr into this, nothing has happened in either direction.

You bring up a good point about who to get rid of.

Rather than figuring out who to get rid of. We need to get people aligned as to where we need to be and how to get there.

The Politicos would have us fight with one another endlessly so that nothing changes. You are a Right Winger (just an example). I am a Left Winger (actually, I'm in the middle). We bring up an issue.

Let's take Healthcare.

The Right says don't violate my rights and don't tax me more.

The Left says that the rich should be taxed more and that the poor need help.

These issues split us right down the middle, which is what the intent is in bringing these up. As long as the majority of the populous is divided, we can never hold these guys accountable for getting anything done. The excuse will always be that the other side blocked action.

The USA needs to come together as a people. No Republicans, No Democrats, No 3rd party. Puros Americanos. We get aligned and we push and push and push until these people start realizing that they work for us "WE THE PEOPLE". Right now, they think that "WE THE PEOPLE" work for THEM.

God help us.

"CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN". Enjoy the change Liberals. After Healthcare Reform passes you will be in bread lines. There will be no wealth for Marxist Obama to spread around.

Just briefly. I came from a poor family. No hope in sight for education. All BS aside. I figured I needed to use my brain instead of my muscles. I eventually attained a few college degrees. I now have a job of my liking. Am I 100% happy? I will never be 100% happy or content. I am still hungry. Still pushing for more and better.
I rely on no one to get me where I want to go. I figure out where it is I want to be in 1-2 yrs and do everything within my power to get there. Does this involve using other people or contacts? Sometimes it does. The important thing to keep in mind is that only I care about where I go. Others will help if brought into my circle, but they will not help if I don't push it.
"The only thing that limits your dreams within the United States of America is your mind." (The Boot, 2009).
When I am 100% happy, I will be dead.
