Man dies after jumping off roof while fleeing police

oh here we go , I can just see it people are going to start blaming the police and the family is going to sue...son was a thug

Here's how the family suit will go. PD got their National Honor Society son expressing his artistic expression on the side of the building. They then called the fire department and took junior up on the roof and threw him off to deter future expressions. Another great artist gone. Maybe they should have just cut off an ear.

Do we need to install anti-suicide barriers on roofs as well as the Spaghetti Bowl?

As always the El Paso Time has gotten their information all wrong. Hi I'm Unidentfied Man's friend. I just want to say that you should all be ashamed of yourselves for making fun of Unidentified Man. He was not committing any act of grafitti at the time. He was trying to erase the grafitti from that location with a can of "grafitti be gone". Unidentified Man was a great guy, he was going to become a dentist and as part of his acceptance into dental school, he was required to volunteer his time helping the community. So he was dedicating his time to erasing grafitti. The only reason he ran up onto the roof is because he saw some grafitti on one of the airconditioners located on top of the building. The grafitti was very visible from the street. He thought that the cops were running towards him to congratulate him, but he wanted to make it to the top of the building first and erase the grafitti, before he stopped to take a breather and be praised by the cops. As the cops reached the top of the building, all they saw was Unidentified Man with a spray can in his hand and assumed it was spray paint. Unidentified man was then detained and in the process dropped his can of "Grafitti Be Gone". Being the good citizen that he is and not wanting to litter, Unidentified Man chased after the can all the way to his doom. So you see, he wasn't trying to evade the cops.

This is probably the best story I have heard all morning.. It serves the idiot right. No disrespect intended but when you deface someone elses property and then try and jump off a two story building, come on. Once less thug society has to rehabilitate. Parents need to be more involved in their childrens activities and friends..

I want to let everyone know that this incident hit really close to my home and I was saddened to hear the news this morning. This family has lost a son, brother, uncle and cousin. Questioning all the ifs, buts, and what ifs. These people are very dear people in mine and my family’s life... and all of you making comments about his family and parents and laughing and joking about this are immature and selfish and are making me SICK! This family deserves the respect of you KEEPING YOUR F***EN worthless, hurtful and stupid comments to yourself. If you dont know then dont talk. My deepest condolences go out to my friends who have lost Nalan. Keep your heads up and dont listen to these people who obviously dont have anything better to do with their lives!

Yes a human life was lost and condlences to his family and friends. I know how it feels to lose a loved one. But really how stupid was he? Too many paint fumes, maybe, he thought he could fly.

Can't feel for you or the family, the DOUMAS killed himself breaking the law. If he jumped to get away from the cops, I wonder what previous arrests he had as tagging should be a minor offense and possible fine.
