Do Not take your pets here!!! I took my yorkie for a cut n bath and wow! She sure came out with a cut.....more like a gash on her throat from their clippers. I noticed on the way home she had glue on her neck and thought they had tried to put bows on but then decided not to and got some glue on her neck. I realized my dog had a gash across her neck with blood and dried glue. The owner never alerted me and when i contacted her the next business day she denied any wrong doing and hung up on me. I even sent her the picture of the Bloody gash Since they are cloaed on mondays and she simply preteneded she couldnt see it!! All my family n friends that i sent the picture too could see it and were horrified! I'm sorry but I wanted to support another local business in town but I've been proven wrong once again. Back to Petsmart we go!
I'm a very skilled and experienced groomer who worked at Petsmart for many years and if you ask me...... Jackie sounds like she's a complainer that tries to get free services. Maybe that's why you're going back to Petsmart? I'm sorry but if a groomer cut my dog and didn't tell me AND I noticed it when I got home, I would have taken it back to where it had been groomed to show the owner or manager the cut on my dog to get proper vet services paid for that same day!!! Who the heck waits the next business day to "alert" the business about a "gash across her neck"?! If it was that serious, I would have taken my dog to the vet asap!!! The over exaggerating woman never mentions going back as soon as she noticed something supposedly wrong. No, she takes pictures and sends them to the business owner, friends & family the next day. Who does that?! Pet owners like this make me sick and which is why I left Petsmart because people will make up anything just to get something free then will go out of their way to bash away on reviews, especially if they don't get their way. Yes, accidents do happen. Dogs don't know how to stay completely still. At Petsmart, if there was an accident we'd have to let the owner know but the ones who usually called saying we cut their dog but never brought it back in that same day or days after to have a manager look at "the injury" were usually the ones with a history of complaining and returning all the time to get free services. I'm pretty familiar with the type of pet owners far too well. Another red flag about "Jackie"....... I've personally gone to check out Glamour Pooch myself, not for grooming, since I can groom my own dogs but to see what they had, and I didn't see any dogs leave with bows stuck on with glue..... they used rubber bands!!!!!! I know there's a doggy safe glue for the short haired dogs but that glue is already set with the bow and can be safely removed from the dog. So yeah, this is all entirely my opinion but I had to say something about that lame review....... people who don't make any sense annoy me.:)
As far as Glamour Pooch, the dogs I saw were groomed nice and people that worked there were nice also. I thought the place was cute and clean compared to the other mom & pop shops in El Paso. Even though I just went to check it out with my dogs, they were very sweet to my dogs and even helped me try some clothes on my dogs without making me feel pressured to buy something or have my dogs groomed. I appreciated that! I've been going there every once in a while for over a year now just to see what new doggie stuff they got after visiting Petsmart with my dogs...... I love how it's only two minutes away from the Petsmart I go to.
