I agree with Mojado kind of. If we saw two girls kissing, the tacos would be considered the popcorn at the movies. There is a time and place for everything. You wanta exchange spit go get a room. Or get your jollies in the car before or after you are in the public. If my girlfriend wants to clean the house in the nude we do it within the walls of our home. We dont go to some taco stand and run around naked.Geeeeeeeeeez.

Some things are better left in private. The whole world does not need to be forcefed a lifestyle so that a few insecure people in a small subculture can feel better about themselves.

This is a forum not a research facility. So although I do respect your ability to look up articles on the internet, stick to the subject at hand. Gays kissing at a taco stand. Is the Chico's stand the place to show affection or were the gays just trying to get a rise(pardon the pun) out of the security guard and public.

You people are blowing this out of proportion. Getting right down to it, 2 guys kissing is nasty. now 2 ladies...not so bad. B utt Pirates keep that stuff indoors. This is nothing about being homophobe, its just not tasteful.

As I said before if Chico's should be accused of wrong doing how about the accusers showing their true colors and coming forward. Doesnt anyone want to go online at www.elpasotimes.com Monday morning and see the 5 or 8 accusers of Chicos Tacos on the front page. In this country you have a right to know who is dragging your name through the mud.

I happened to be at chico"s that night. And the gay guys were the ones who started all the rukus..They were being load and abnoxious.. Security Guards were in the right to kick them out..It was not because of the Kiss..

sorry jotitos, i agree with ramon on this one.i dont want to see gays kissing anywhere day or night,thats why ive never been to the o.p. or other gay hot spots and i surely dont want children to think its acceptable. i rather stick to the adam & eve story, adam and ken just makes things really complicated.I think its the dumb drunk jotos that give the gay community the unnecessary attention and bad impression. viva el chuco!

This writer is obvious not smart enought to figure out what DISCRIMINATION is. Bottom line is they were discriminated against and if it was me I would file a lawsuit against the the Police Department, Chico's tacos and the security guard company. At the end of the day they are going to get paid and the important part will be that it will raise awarness that discrimination is not acceptable at any level. If I am able to go into Chico's tacos and kiss my girl friend and I have done this many of times a gay couple should have the same rights and according to the law they do. Chicos Tacos, Police Department and Security Guard get ready to PAY big money for DISCRIMINATION.

That sounds pretty homophobic to me.
Two guys is no different from two girls.
I guarantee there are some lesbian couples you just don't want to see kiss. Just the same with straight couples and gay couples.

Again not homophobe. Definately there are SOME women I would not want to see kissing. But for sure I dont want to see ANY guys kissing.

I agree that public kissing is not always appropriate.
Chico's is a great place. What scares me is that the police don't know the law. Not the "rookie" who responded, nor the spokesperson. An ignorant, prejudiced fool with a badge, and a gun is a very dangerous thing. today its us, tomorrow its whom?

BTW Chicos is by far the nastiest crap ive eaten since I came to El Paso. I was told to try it again after I ate it the first time, and had to hold back my vomit. The 2nd time was even worse cause I tried the hotdog and the bile producing tacos.

It is not about being homophobic, it is about being respectful to others. You do not have to show the whole world that you are gay from head to toe. If the gay community or whatever they want to call themselves, want respect they should respect others. Likewise any other groups out there.
