Has any one ever been on the tenth and 13th floor of basset tower on 303texas ave in downtown el paso vacant vintage skyscraper odd SixGunLove wrote: I have a friend in Chaparral who grew up in a haunted house out there. It was built over the remnants of an old adobe building. I used to work for the El Paso sheirffs dept and once experienced something weird on the 10th floor guard station. me and two other officers were sitiing there talking and heard some weird, other worldly gibberish. Imagine a music tape being played backwards and at high speed. It was unexplainable and all three of us heard it. There was nothing present that could have made those sounds. My arm hair still stands up remembering those sounds.

I really believe one should not go around looking for proof if these things really happen out of curiousity. They do happen, but some people get freaked out when it's proven to them. I personally have never been terrorized as I don't scare too easy, but have seen alot along with another member of my family. But I also believe the spirit world should be respected and left alone and doing this will see you through any unexpected paranormal experiences that would otherwise might frighten you into cardiac arrest. LEAVE IT ALONE, you live in this life--enjoy it while your here and don't worry about the spirit world because they don't appreciate you hunting them down.

Boo wrote: <quoted text> Did some work there....years back...nothing really happened...it was Just a Weird place... I wanted to finish and leave and I cant even tell you why Building on 300 east Main, down town across from the treasury (federal?) building is also haunted. Used to be the Holiday inn. Corner of Kansas and Main. Was up there one day to pay my monthly parking fee with a friend who also was doing the same. We ended up on the 11th floor and didn't realize it cause we were talking so we got off when an attorney who's office was on that floor got off. We had walked a little ways before we realized we were on the wrong floor. The attorney's office indicated it was floor 11, so we pushed the elevator to go down 2 floors down and while waiting we stood by a closed door of an empty office no one was renting. There was some noise coming from inside like someone was opening or attempting to open the door but no one came out. We looked at each other and then someone from the attorney's office joined us to go down, an employee and she saw we looked perplexed and asked if we were looking for an office, we asked about that one where no one came out of the door after hearing the door open and close. She said that place had been empty for a while the owner had died suddenly there of a heart attack. My friend was dumbfounded and we came to the floor and paid our fees and she said from now on I'm mailing my payment in!

Ella - my mother, uncle and aunt saw this monk in the late 1960's, my mother states he comes out of the road and keeps on going up into the sky until he disappears.

Unbelieveable wrote: The building where Aliviane sits today which used to be the old Tigua Hospital on North Loop, is certainly haunted. I would be sitting at my desk and would see someone entering the outer office, but when I would call or go see, there was no one. Other empuloyees would hear heavy breathing as if someone was on a ventilator. One employee saw a man walking down the hall and when he followed him, theman walked right through a wall and disappeared. Everyone hated to stay and work late unless there were other employees in the building. On several occasions I found myself locked up in my section of the building and no one would hear me calling out for help. Too many strange things happening, for the building not to be haunted. Afterall it was a hospital where hundreds of people died there. I would love to b there to experience it too! I have orbs at my house..see things/spiritual kids at my house. Far East El Paso.

Interesting, is the house old? the house at 8553 Alameda is definitly haunted--lived there years ago, saw alot of paranormal activity however I've always remained calm and collected during something like this and have respected the spirits as they were human at some time or another. They will leave you alone if they sense your respect believe me as I have always been sensitive to such things and I don't go around looking for these things to happen they just happen. I've lived in other places and have experienced things too, so I believe a person who isn't afraid experiences more because the spirits know this and they really don't want to frighten you infact they can invisibly help you if you're in trouble--you know like guardian angels? I believe some of these invisible beings (spirits) help us on a daily basis only we don't see it happening. While some of these beings are our past deceased relatives that see a need to help us when we need it and if it isn't beyond their means they will help us. Just remain calm and don't show anger towards them so they will see you're ok and don't want to harm them in any way.

It is said that there used to be train tracks there and children were killed during that time. Today you put baby powder the bumper, leave your car on nuetral at the bottom of the road and the car starts rolling UPhill. Look at the bumper and again and you will see little handprints..... That's in San antonio near the missions. It's called "the tracks". I've tried it, pretty creepy.
