Why can you justify murdering children with your political views and yet you get emotional with nature ?

You are over the top on this and are not rational. Whether I am or am not a person of the lord is not your ability to judge. It belongs only to GOD. you are a radical with not rational reasoning with. Too bad. You're so crazy. Maybe what you think should be done to me should be done to you as your are mentally imbalanced. Take that and put it in your pipe and smoke it.

I am not going anywhere. I am not an abortionist. But you would allow an animal to grow too old and feel pain and torment to their graves instead of putting them out of the misery. These Animal you are so sorry for are the property of another and unless you have the money and time to take care of them and pay the vet bills and then put them down when necessary then stop behaving like you are a saint.

Do you f----ing listen. Most of these horses are babies, many are yearlings and two-years olds intended to be a race horse champs. Many are pregnant. Most are very healthy. At one time women and other people were considered "property." Thank goodness, you are not property because not many people would want you and YOU would not be of much value to them.

Sure if you don't mind having some Bute, Clenbuterol, Moxidectin Lasix with your meal...

You people that are trying to defend slaughter need to google "Beltex FOIA docs". There are 906 pages of violations of Humane Transport act/humane Handling act. These violations occurred at ONE slaughterhouse here in TX during an 11 month period.

Also google "Leroy Baker Court case". One shipper who's cruel shipping to slaughter practices were exposed/and he was convicted yet hasn't paid a dime of his 160,000.00 fine and continues to ship to slaughter.

Also google Canadian Horse slaughter Videos. Two days of non stop recording/verified as unedited, showing a 60% miss rate the first day (requiring more than one hit with a captive bolt gun to stun.), and a 40% miss rate the 2nd day. One horse was hit 11 times before he was stunned. The Humane handling Act requires a stun on the first hit. None of these horses were checked for sensibility (eyelid test), so some where regaining their senses while they were strung up by a hind leg.

Also Google "KaufmanZoning" or Mary Nash. Website has a collection of factual documents, including a letter from the Mayor of Kaufman (where Dallas Crowne Horse Slaughterhouse was located), detailing the hundreds of thousands of dollars the EPA violations/wastewater court cases cost the city due to the Horse slaughterhouse there.

These Killer buyers in Fabens have violated Humane Transport act laws by having these horses shipped from Wisconson to El Paso with no food and water, have continued to break animal Cruelty/neglect laws by not providing hay/medical treatment. According to UC Davis studies and current feeding guidelines, starved horses should be fed several small meals of alfalfa hay each day and have their electrolite levels monitored by a vet. The only food in the desert is weeds which are inedible and Johnson grass with is toxic to horses.

If people cannot afford to care for their horses, they should sell, lease, give away or humanely euthanize their horses. Or shoot and eat them themselves if they are so bad off they can't afford 250.00 for euth and disposal. These lowlifes selling to slaughter proabably can afford their Big Screen TV and IPODS, yet allow an animal to suffer.

The horses when they get old need a place to go if there is someone with the money to take care of them properly.
According to the USDA 92.3% of the horses slaughtered are in "good" condition. The avg age of a slaughtered horse is less than 12 yrs of age. Racehorses, who's only fault was in being too slow, make up approx 30% of horses slaughtered. many of these horses could go on to a new career if the owners cared enough to rehome them. In fact the Eventing Horse of the Year, is an ex racehorse that was bought from the kill pen. He would have been slaughtered if he wasn't saved.

I personally watched 35 purebred Quarter Horse long weanlings (9 mo old or so)all get bought by a killer buyer for slaughter at the auction in Fabens. The shipper crammed them into a trailer and slammed the back tailgate on one of their legs. These were not old, crippled horses. They were the result of an irresponsible breeder using the slaughter outlet as a way to profit off of his poor breeding decisions.
It is illegal to ship horses to slaughter that are sick, unable to bear weight on all 4 legs, blind or due to foal.(Humane Transport Act. Yet these horses rejected at the border, were shipped illegally. The owners should be prosecuted.

Look who I donated money to tonight. That little donkey makes me cry, as well as that white horse that JM saved with a broken leg from being transported to Mexico where they get their faces ripped off and are beheaded.

They need our help. Horses are costly to feed and need to be saved from a gruesome death. Forget about going out to dinner or that nice outfits. I guess no Torrid big mamma gothic dresses for me for awhile, but its so worth it. More than anything

Channel 9 news showed the dark brown donkey tonight. The horses still need donations, the ones starving in Socorro and in Fabens. Animal Rescue League is in the process of setting up a fund for the abandoned horses. Here's another story tonight of a mamma and baby sent to slaughter and temporarily rescued. These ranchers need donations like feed and money.

What's going to happen to that mother and her little foal? Supposedly, this rancher is a kill buyer. The community needs to pull together and donate whatever they can to help, who is going to rescue them and who needs our donations. We need to organize.

I don't understand who is getting the donations and who will have possession of the horses. If he is retaining possession, and just wanting people to donate, so he can get them fat and sell to slaughter, then that's not right. If a rescue will be taking possession, then I'd donate in a heartbeat.
If he owns the horses and refuses to give to a rescue, and can't/won't feed them, then he needs to either turn them over to a rescue or be charged with animal neglect and have the horses seized.
I'll be damned if I'm going to pay a killer buyer to fatten horses up at the public's expense, and then profit from selling them to slaughter. If that's what's happening, this rancher/killer buyer is laughing at everyone for being fools, and he will repeat this profitable enterprise.

No one is getting the donations to fatten up those horses. When he has them fattened up he will sell them to whom ever. IF it is a slaughter house in Mexico he isn't going to know. Quit crying over horses you don't own. They are his property to with as he pleases and the place has been checked over to make sure the animals are being treated properly according to law. BOO HOO>

Get real people. Banning the Slaughter Houses has all but ruined the Horse Industry. People are left with no way out of the financial burden of horse ownership once the animal has become disabled. Regulations say you cannot bury a horse on your own property ... so, what are people suppose to do with them? Every Rescue Organization you call is FULL, every Foster Home is FULL ... can you not see the writing on the wall? How do the horses fend in the wild when a cougar runs one down for the dinner kill; do you think that being eaten alive is a fast death? It’s a natural food chain. Horses arn’t going to the slaughter houses for our dinner-table. If the meat goes overseas, who cares; if it goes for dog food, so what ... it’s a food chain! Our Government does not support our horse fancy interests; it is up to each individual owner. With the economy the way it is, why should I be expected to spend what money I have to support my horse, when I need to feed myself? I don’t hear the same outcry for Cattle, Chickens, Pigs, Sheep, etc.; they are used as companion pets as well as any horse; but, reality is reality. There are far too many horses and not enough individual incomes to cover them and certainly no Grants. You cannot give a horse away these days; come-on get real people!!! Ban together and offer suggestions for a better way to get rid of the unwanted horses, if there is one; but, for right now, the Slaughter Houses are all we got.

Actually, you are wrong on all points. First, you can bury horses on most properties here. Secondly, horses don't just magically appear in your yard. YOU make the decision to buy one. Why are you relying on others to take care of a problem you created? Responsible owners would put aside a small amount of money for emergencies/vet care/boarding/feed/and euth/disposal. If you were too stupid to do so, you can always sell, give away, donate your horse, or if that doesn't work, have someone shoot the horse for you and you can eat it yourself. If you are so hard up that you can't afford to euth, then you probably could use a freezer full of meat. Never mind all of the drug residues in it, from using all of the wormers and drugs that are commonly given to horses here, all labeled "NOT FOR USE IN ANIMALS INTENDED FOR FOOD". If you think it's ok for other's to eat, you should eat it as well.
If SH open in the US, then govt will be making taxpayers foot the 5 million dollar a yr bill, needed to fund inspectors for the SH. And that is so the foreign owned SH (yes, all of the horse sh that were here were owned by foreign companies, who made over 12 million dollars in profit yet paid only 5.00 in taxes.).
The SH nearly bankrupted the nearby cities, because of the EPA violations that the cities were forced to prosecute, yet the SH owners never paid the fines. Google "Kaufman Mayor Paula Bacon Letter". She explains how having a SH in her town affected that city.
Having slaughter available rewards irresponsible breeders by allowing them to be paid for their poor decisions. If slaughter were not available, breeders would be forced to pay for their irresponsible breeding decisions, and would cut back.
Slaughter does not prevent abuse/abandonment, it actually increases it, such as seen on the East side at the Fabens ranch. Humane transport act violations are not prosecuted/neglect is not prosecuted, because "they are only slaughterhorses". The largest horse neglect case in TX history, took place right near Dallas Crowne SH when it was open. The neglected horses were owned by a VET. Having a SH 15 min away didn't stop the owner from starving all of those horses.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
