Trash company Athens services has poured about one million dollars into montebello if you count the No on bill campaign, anti referendum and anit recall monies to buy the City.
Athens has also used out of town polling, phone banks and "volunteer" black shirts to "inf luence Montebello residents"

TAinted support given to MAyor Rosie, Jorge, Jimmy

I'm voting in new people with fresh ideas and will absolutely vote out Urtega and his cronies at the recall election in jan... or Feb.

I wish I could vote the whole council out. I know I will in 2010 when it comes to Senate seats.

389k is just what was posted on the form 460s
Add in the No on Bill, Retire Bill, No on Recall and No on Referendum and the big bribe to the City, Mike Lewis andLewis consulting, the blockers (vlunteers)

It is so RIDICULOUS that all these candidates spent so much money on these flyers and signs that people just throw away. This election is a joke, all the junk mail I received from these candidates is outrageous. I already voted weeks ago through the mail and these candidates thinks it is Ok that they come to my door and harass me for my vote. They come and disturb me and my family. I am tired of it and I hope that these so called elected officials will do something for MY city of Montebello.

You have to take the good with the bad. If you want to make the best choice possible, you have to have some type of either contact or material from the candidate or their representatives so that you know where they stand and make the best choice possible.

So much money spent on campaigning it's a shame really! If Manzur really wanted to build that recreational center he talks about he should've put the money he received for the campaign to good use and invested it in that instead of making a mockery of this entire race. I for one think good, honest, transparent people that will bring the government back to the people of Montebello are who we need representing us in council. My vote is in and it went to Art Barajas, Frank Gomez and Bill Molinari!

I don't think Jimmy has a shot. Same is true for Cedena-Perez and Garcia.

Gomez will have a respectable total but fall short.

I would expect some order of Molinari, Vasquez, Veneziano, Manzur and Barajas in the top 5.

I think all of the flyers and signs by Manzur give him a legitimate shot - but if anyone has heard him try to speak English, there is no way they would vote for him. Not making a judgement on his qualifications, but I have never seen a candidate win an election with such a poor command of the language.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Virgo

Be careful you don't wind up doing someone else's work today, Virgo. There are all sorts of little tricks to persuade you to take pity on them, from pretending to be ill to making such a hash of everything that you can't bear to watch for a moment longer. Then you are likely to be asked to put in some overtime, at the expense of your social life. Grr.
