OK Scotts Valley

Please do not fall victim to the current economy and scale back plans for a high(er) end shopping district. We have enough low class shopping options in this county including the increasingly worsening Capitola Mall. No Target, no WalMart, no more chain fast food restaurants. Do this right please. Many of us are tiring of driving over the hill to do our shopping. Thank You.

This should have been done 20 years ago when Scotts Valley was entering its boom-economy fueled (notice pun) by the software industry (not the .com). The stubbornness of the small propane business stalled all process in that location. Let's hope it's not too late.

No thank you, and I won't be moving to San Jose for all of those establishments either. I just want my hard earned money to stay in this county and the listed establishments are where I spend my money out of this county.... If you don't like them then maybe YOU should move to SLV.

Dead End Street? With 200 full time workers 50 yards away. And a gas station next door. Wise location.

Who said this is a safe place to locate this place instead of old quarry away from people? Please tell us who will be holding the liability bag?

I think you kind of missed the boat on what shopping "local" means. Also, if Red Lobster and Olive Garden are your ideas of good food - there's nothing else I can say.

But the Council overrode those who researched it. Lets name it the Lind, Bustuchi, Reed, Johnson Memorial swimming hole after the first accident.

remodel of the skating rink contracted also. Let me sell you the perfect building. It will only take $2.6 million to make it suit your needs. It is not a white elephant. Why would you want to cross utilize the community center which is seldom utilized or open? How nice, it will have a fireplace. And it only will take $2.6 million to remodel it, to suit your needs. Why worry about taking this big commercial building off the tax-rolls? Way to go! Always thinking of the taxpayer first!

Good luck with a new Town Center. It will NEVER attack high end shops. It will be filled with crap like the Olive Garden, Bed Bath and Beyond, TK Maxx, etc. As it is now, the only fast food drive thrus Scotts Valley DOESN'T have is an In N Out and a Sonic. We have 2.5 Starbucks for goodness sakes.

They would sell their mothers to build that white elephant. So moving a potentially dangerous 30,000 gallon propane tank next to businesses and other fuel sources are not a problem for them.
This town center will fail and flop just like the rest of their small-town, moronic ideas.
