What does everyone think of the new Italian Restaurant La Piazza?

Have not been yet,but got a report from a co-worker. It was favorable. No specifics. We have waited a long time for a decent Italian Rest.. Hope this is a good one and the community supports it.

I went this week. The place looks nice, but I've never been in a restaurant that didn't smell like food cooking. They must have good ventilation in the kitchen. The food was mediocre at best. They use appetizer plates for salads, which is a challenge for slicing the large chunks of tomato and bell pepper. I'll give it another try. Hopefully by then the wait staff will know the difference between the various types of pasta dishes and be able to better explain the menu. I asked the waitress about a dish, which she explained. What I got was nothing like what we had discussed.

My family went last night, and it was great! Great good and great service. We can't wait to try the pizza next time.

we went over the weekend
all in all the food was great - our wait person was quite confused and seemed as if they had been knocked unconscious sometime during the day but I'll chalk that up to "new waiter-new restaurant" and hope that corrects itself with time. keep up the good work |

We tried to eat there at noon today (Friday) and they were closed to the public until 130, having a private party!?! As we were leaving we ran into two other groups of 2 & 3 people who were as surprised as we were that they were closed.

They were having a luncheon meeting for the EHS Teachers. Please try them again. You will not be disappointed! Try the Chicken Gargonzola...mmmmm Mamma Mia! |

Why would they have to have southern fried food in their Italian resturant? Another reason you kind of people give the rest of us a bad name. Go get an education for yourself then you can enjoy other types of food and people that are different from you. |
