Well I see where we are loosing yet another main stay of eldo...
The skating rink is closing....

Eldo is dying on the vine...

Batting cages
El dorado cinemas
Rialto
Miniature golf
Paint ball field
The old arcade
laser tag
And now the skating rink..
All closed down !!! There is nothing in this town for kids to do anymore ...
Want entertainment you gotta go out of town ....

They're talking about the $8000 for ice skating. The city did not pay for that. Private organizations and private individuals did.

All closed because kids weren't going to these places anyway. There's plenty to do in this town and the surrounding area. The only business you listed was shut down by a competitor that bought it. The other places had very little interest and/or the owners did very little with it. It has nothing to do with the town itself.

Everything on this list besides the skating rink has been closed for YEARS! There hasn't been anything structured for kids to do here in over a decade!

No, you suck. El Dorado is great, bit we do have our losers, just like everywhere else. Please leave and give us one less headache.

There are many church sponsored activities for children in El Dorado and surrounding smaller communties, as well as sports and academic activities. Based on some of the language here, perhaps attending church as a family might offer benefits in addition to fun activities for your children.
