You don't know the facts there was no officers called. It was hartsell and his son. His son actually shot the dog.
Trust me I know more than you when it comes to this topic. They are animal control OFFICERS, Charles WAS NOT there. I know who shot the dog, I know his reasons. And yes those are FACTS. It shows how ignorant you are of the situation. And as of 3pm today Hartsell Pest Control did get animal control back, not because the city officals are on "their side" but because there was EVIDENCE to prove the dog was vicious in more than just this case.

He hunts more than deer. He kills animals for the "sport of it" I'm all for killing game for food consumption but killing just to kill is wrong.
Everything he hunts, he eats. Deer, bear, ect. Not just for sport.

Is THAT so? Huh, so you kill bears too? Since that's what the Hartsells do an they are regular joes like you're implying. They hunt a LOT of things and I bet you they aren't eating it! I don't know where you got your info from, but there's people that work for the city that know what happened and are telling it
Yes they eat it... Again I know this for a fact

I wonder what the Hartsells do with the dogs they catch for the surrounding cities? There are no pounds, and surely he's not bringing them to the ElDorado pound, so what are they doing with them? Shoot them maybe? Chances are good that's what's going on and it's sick
No they don't shoot them. They don't bring them to the El Dorado pound either. They other places they have, have pounds of their own where they keep the dogs

<quoted text> The paper Tuesday plainly said Hartsell and one employee was the one's who answered the call. NOW, are you saying he changed his story and he was on his way to Little Rock. That would make him, what, A dog killer AND A Liar? What's he going to do now say he fired the employee so the Mayor will have an opening to reinstate him? Because we all know he will get reinstated.
No the paper said Hartsell pest control responded to the call, it never said Charles Hartsell and another employee responded. So no he is not a dog killer and he is not a liar.

You are misguided and your information is false. If he got it back then there needs to be some serious uproar on behalf of the animals. They eat everything they hunt. So, he eats wolf. Oh wait that's wild dog, huh?

I am sure his son felt threatened by it. Similar to the chihuahua he killed by beating it with a catch pole bc he felt threatened by it.

Wow, you are seriously misguided on the information you know. They have never killed a chihuahua. Y'all are all idiots. This website needs to be shut down. His son is my husband, so yes, I know the facts I know what happened because he called me about it upset that he even shot the dog, he rushed it to goodwins. The dog had been provoking many people in that area. My husband has never shot a dog besides this one bc he loves dogs and that's why he does what he does. I am seriously just disgusted by y'all's "opinions" that know nothing but hear say about the situation. Know some facts before you say something very hurtful to a person that did nothing wrong but protect himself and his co-worker. Y'all make me SICK!

He did kill a chihuahua I know this. And if he loves dogs so much, why has he ditched two of them at the pound as his personal kennel which one died the other was pregnant. Real animal lover.

this dog was not vicious!!! we had a substitute mail man that day, and he may not have known the dog, so he was scared because the dog was a chow..... but the dog was a very sweet dog... we have pit bulls that roam the neighborhood that are mean, but when i called hartsell i was told i had to call the p.d. and they would handle it!!!!! so why was the p.d. not called about this dog? and by the way when i first moved here i was scared of the chow (just because of the way he looks) ya'll know mr. gilmore is handicapped and relies on his daughter to round up the dog when he gets out, seems to me killing was uncalled for, especially when people offered to house him (apparently he wasn't trying to bite them) until mr. gilmore returned home....

No excuse for your dog dying from distemper. You can buy the five in one shot from eppinettes for about $6. Do you own dogs and not keep their shots up to date?

Was the substitute mail man of a different race than the dog owners? Did they train the dog to be vicious to people of other races?

This is all crap they do a good job at what they do... Someone is asking what do they do when they catch dogs in the county? They take them to ucaps. Why do y'all just trying to start stuff your not man enough to even have your real name on here. The dog obviously chared him and he felt like him and the people around him were in danger the police did a report on it. I don't want to hear anything else about this it is over

A dog can be the best ever most of the time. All it takes is one time for him to be a threat (the wrong time) and there could be consequences. Best advice--keep him in control 100% of the time. Sorry for the loss.
