So I play in a band and we've been around almost a year and play shows quite often but, we have never played a show here in the town I live in. Honestly I would like too but can someone give me some insight. Is el dorado dead in the music world are there any venues worth playing, any venues that bring a crowd do people actually show up to shows put on here the closest I've played to el dorado is Monroe so honestly I don't know what this town even has to offer

Downtown is pretty busy on the weekends. Hill's, Marilyn's, the mink eye and even Einsteins host bands. Call the venues!

How can you be in a band and not know what's going on with music around here? You guys must be a Christian band which is not a bad thing.

There used to be a decent band scene here. There are small venues, you just have to get out and find the people that are involved.

The places I have honestly heard of is the Rialto and hills but I don't know what the venues actually offer I know the last small town show we played was in a small town of perryville Arkansas and although there were only about 50 people there, the crowd was freakin crazy mosh pits galore I loved it ..and the only band I kno of is Fear The Aftermath and to my knowledge they are recording and not booking shows our metal styles are vastly different from theirs so it would be wouldn't get too repetitive hearing the same thing over and over honestly I would like to have 4 or 5 bands that can but on 40 minute show times with a 15 minute set up and tear down
