Ron wrote: There was an article written in the Washington Post called Fatal Distraction you can google it. It speaks to a number of cases where parents have left children in cars and that have died. It provides some demographics about ages, income, outcome. You might like it as you are obviously trying to read whatever is out there. <quoted text> thank u for suggesting the piece..it was very thought provoking and emmotional for me ....i am so glad u came to this thread :)

How can anyone forget their baby. don't you put the baby in the car seat when you leave for your destination? And don't you look in your car before you close the doors and lock it? And, how did he not think of his child during the day at work? He was probably high or just wanted to kill the baby... I hope they lock him up.. Idiot... God should not give these type of men or women the ability to have children.... Too many people trying to have one....

Perfect wrote: It's amazing what people have to say...until something they've criticized others for HAPPENS TO THEM. The answer is simple, HE FORGOT BECAUSE HE'S HUMAN. There are times when you have an errand list of things to do after work, and you end up in your drive way. Some people out of habit have a one track mind. I agree- it is easy to criticize and say we would never do such a thing, but for the grace of God, that could be anyone who in a moment of distraction, forgets. That dad is punished by a lifetime of guilt and remorse. I don't think anything else could be done to him that would be worse than what he has to live with. I hope that somehow, he and his wife can eventually find some peace.

Everybody can probably understand forgetting about the baby for a second. What's hard to understand is forgetting about the baby all day long. That's what's so unbelieveable.

Say what you want about my opinion, but that poor little baby is still dead..........

We all become very judgemental when it comes to the well being of a child. When something tagic like this happens, we mourn for the child but we also mourn for the lost of innocence this world is lacking. The parents will have to live with the fact that there was something on their mind more important than their child, that's just my feeling. It is sad that they will experience hell even before they take their last breath on Earth. My prayers are with them and their little angel.

I can understand why you are angry but God has nothing to do with the choices people make in their lives.I am not saying that the father made a choice of leaving the child in the car, that would be negligent but he was responsible for the well being of the child. People are so quick to disown God everytime something tragic happens. We all have to be responsible for our actions or inactions. Unfortunately some responsibilities fall harder than others. This one is like falling from a mountain.
