Kym Cano has July 14 court date

kym is a very sweet person,before you judge her you need to hear her side of the story and than maybe your thoughts would change about her,she is a loving mother and wife everyone will see that after the trial

I have been trying to follow this case and get very limited info on it. Did the trial already happen? Is Kym still in trial? What's the latest?

the trial is suppose to start on the 30th of this month. i know a few people who have been subpoena to testify by the district attorney. i dont think the children should have to be put through this.

"CDT", I DO know Kym! I have known Kym since she was a child in the Bay Area. She and her sister were best friends to my two girls. I helped teach Kym to drive, was an 'aunt' to her and watched her grow into a fine woman. She even saved my daughter's life when they were in high school.
All I ever experienced was Kym being a loving mother to her children who loved and adored her husband.
Even if you do know Kym and have had a different experience with her, let's let the court do its' job on this one before we start judging.
Isn't it easy to judge someone else's life when you're not walking in their shoes!

You are obviously a relative of Franks and are suffering very much. I'm sorry. I did not say Kym is perfect, no one is. I watched her grow up remember. I DID say what I have personally experienced in the 28 years I have know her, is that she cares deeply about her family and others. Yes, there are always two sides to every story AND you can take anything out of context.

In response to what you claim THEIR young children at the time are supposedly saying, these do not sound like the words of children their ages. But it does sound a lot like how you personally feel.

In any case, I will stand by Kym and her family no matter the outcome of the trial. In the end, only God knows that really happened that tragic day. He is the final judge in all ways. Oh, and God forgives.

I have known her for over 20 years myself and I still stand by my comments.
At least several of her FOUR (not THREE) children are old enough to have an opinion.
I agree that the children should not have to be put through this trial; only their mother could stop it at this point, but once again her wants are put before their needs.

A tragedy indeed! I knew the Cano family for nearly 7 years before they moved to Calexico. My daughter and Franks daughter were good friends and often spent the night at each others house. Frank was a die hard steelers fan. Were you people aware that Frank would get really pissed off when they would lose? in some cases he would throw his beer at the wall. That is not grounds for killing him though.

They had typical issues that a lot of families have. Their middle son was in karate classes and seemed to be gaining ground in his self esteem when they moved. regardless of what people say they know of each of these people, People change over years. Cops were called to their residence numerous times on domestic issues where Kym was the offender,when they lived in Fontana. I never personally witnessed these domestic issues. She mentioned them to my wife as they were friends. Kym got upset with my wife at one point because my wife was having lunch with her girlfriend from high school. I thought that to be a little out there, she was really pissed at my wife.

I did see Kym Slap Frank one time at a BBQ for trivial reasons, He just laughed and shrugged it off in a joking way, but Kym was quite irritated. As stated before, only God knows the reason as to why she shot Frank. She admitted shooting him. Only God can judge her soul.

Regardless of the reasoning as to why Frank was killed, a human life was taken. The guilty party must pay the price. There is no easy way out of a situation as this, and the real losers are the children. Now they not only don't have their father anymore, their mother will never be able to be a mother to those kids.

try living with her and seeing her change from loving mother to selfish bitch who's concerns fell from kids and husband to what pleasures she provided for herself. torwards the last few years in the fontana house she begged for her two designer dogs. then proceeded to apply more attention to the dogs than her own children.

she may have been sweet to those she wished to fool, but those who really knew her knew that wasn't the real her.

Any jury should return Murder 2; if they are really screwed up and believe half of the "you should really know she's sweet" sob stories, they might return Man 1, but that should come with at least 12-15 years.

She took a life when hers was not in danger- imminent nor otherwise- 15 years would be a gift of a sentence.

BTW, I knew them both and their 3 kids and her daughter- not 20 years ago- but since 2000 ... I've seen enough ...

A good friend of Kym. When was the last time you spent any quality time with her? Were you aware she was on anti depressants? I'm thinking not. Were you aware of how controlling she is? Maybe not. The bottom line is that Frank worked his ass off to support his family, and Kym was pissed off because of the move because she had no friends down there. She is a very needy person. She bragged to my wife about her suburban when she got it, then laughed at my wife and told her she was lying when My wife got her suburban. What Like she is the only one that could have a Nice truck. My wife stays home just as Kym stayed home. Kym didn't think it possible for me to be able to afford a truck like that for her. Were you aware that she was like that? It's good to stand by your friends. It is a good thing to have friends who will stand behind you. If you were any kind of a good friend, you would have seen these signs and taken action to get her Psychological help before she snapped. As for me and my wife, I discussed their friendship and cautioned my wife about moving forward in their relationship. If you have to try to be friends, then you are not really friends. My wife decided to distance herself just before they made the decision to move to Calexico. So go ahead and stand by your friend that you know so well. The fact is if you were any kind of a good friend, you could possibly have prevented her from killing Frank. Frank was a very nice guy. would give you the shirt off of his back while he shivered. He didn't deserve to be killed in cold blood. As I mentioned before, it is not My or our place to judge her! It is our place to understand the whole picture before making our own opinions. Those who knew Kym recently know the truth and how she was. Maybe while she is locked up she will get the psychiatric help she needs.

Does anyone know why the trail was postponed yet once again? When are they going to put her away?! When are they going to give Frank's children some peace of mind and stop dragging this trail on and on?

Dear a good friend of kym, hello this is brenda and i'm sure you're karen and jessica's mom... u probably don't remember me.... u might be rene's mom too.... here's the deal.... I am Franks first cousin Brenda and I introduced Frank to Kym when we were all 16 yrs old.... Kym and I became BEST FRIENDS our freshman yr at los altos high school and 6 yrs later she married my cousin Frank and I watched her decline over the past 20 yrs specifically her mental health.... she used to slap my cousin, call him a loser, verbally abuse him amongst other mean things she'd do... i loved him like my dad... he was my daddy.
he wasn't perfect but he was a good man.

i hate her for putting us through this. i hate her for the stress and pain i have felt because of what she has done.

if i'm feeling this pain for him i'm guessing it hurts the kids 10 times more. how could a mother do this to her children and her husband, whim she pledged to love forever.

she's so selfish... she was feeling depressed, so she had to drag everyone down with her. thats how she is: vindictive.

i hope she rots in prison... and learns to admit it wasn't an accident... because we all know it wasn't.

look at how long the cases has been dragged out.. obviously she's guilting someone into believing her sob story.

i hope the with all my heart that she is never able to have custody of the kids again. i woman with a mind like hers should not be aloud to raise children. what's to say she wouldn't harm them?
