Was the deer wearing a helmut?

Again!?!? This JUST happened a couple months ago? They should do a toxicology test on the deer. It could have been drunk. Or suicidal. Did anyone find a note in the deer's pockets?

Sure! They fly the rider out and he's doing OK, but what about the deer?!? Didn't the ambulence from Valley Central come out?!? Let me guess: the rider had good insurance. They send in the helicopters if you've got BC/BS.

We had BC/BS but our company now only offers Aetna, so now we pay much more for our coverage and if we are in an accident they don't send Medivac they send someone on foot with a luggage cart...

My husband had a crash because of a deer, and he was only going about 35mph. Nothing funny about it.

I only made fun of my insurance company. I am a motorcyclists and I too know of people who have hit deer. I think we are all relieved to read that this person is doing well and that is why people feel free to joke. A friend of mine even was hit by a deer while he was on a bicycle, he could have been killed but he jokes about it. Deer darting out into the road is always on my mind when I am driving or riding anything because there is a great chance you will never see it coming.

deer running attacking our transportation, squirrels attacking the power grid....I see a pattern of animal uprising. Get the US Intelligence services on this and they will trace it back to training and funding in Iran. Attack now!

I tend to make fun of my own misfortune, too. Trust me, he was fortunate to survive a motorcycle crash with a deer. I lost a really good friend that way years ago, and deer jumping out in front of my bike scares me more than a woman on a cell phone following me in an SUV!

The poor defenseless little bambi! How dare that motorcycle hit that deer on the road! That deer had a family and life to live for!.......

obviously I am being highly sarcastic and do truly hope that the rider is going to fully recover, but this is the kind of statement an A.R.A would use.

Blame the couple having sex again in the woods after their flight. If she would not of been screaming so loud the deer would of never been spooked enough to run rampant from the woods.

Meanwhile, a short distance away...

Stroud Area Regional Police received a call Thursday evening to help remove what was thought to be a porcupine from the pantry of a home.

Three officers entered the home with control stick snares to capture what turned out to be a ground hog.

Police said the creature was pretty cooperative and simply backed into the snare. Once they got it outside, the groundhog was freed.

Oh, where is the Grand High Exalted Grundsow when you need him??

Glad to hear the rider will recover, I also had a friend hit a deer on his cycle. Of course, he went to work afterward- never was accused of being very smart.

The supreme court has said we can have our guns, you don't have to use your motorcycle(it's a lot cheaper, too). Hope you are doing well.
