Why is it that troy is such a racist city only doing business with white people???? This city people should be ashamed of their racists asses... f--- them and neo-nazis and kkk in their hicktown.

Are you non white? If so... you can come to Troy! They will do business with you! They will also treat you with respect. My non white friends have NO PROBLEM in Troy. But ...Troy also doesn't put up with any bull shit from any race! White or otherwise.
Troy is one of the nicest communities I have ever had the pleasure of spending my time in.
It is growing to fast! It will most likely go down hill the bigger it gets. Lets hope it stays as is!

The city is racists as I stated and there are actually 2 racists organizations in this community. They do not support "other" people businesses... I know this for a fact.. no offense to you but you must be white, if you were of different race you would see... not on here to start drama just stating facts

I just stated facts not on here to start drama...There are 2 racists known organizations in this city. The people here do not support "other" peoples businesses. Which in most cases the person is not welcomed in this "GREAT" community. No offense to you but you must be white so youll never no what its like for "other" people.

Yes, I am white. I also have many friends of "other" races. I lived in Troy for over 13 years, I have lived in a town with REAL racist people. Where there is a sign at each end of town starting "don't let the sun go down on your black ass in *****,MO." The sign is a faded sun set that has been on the hwy for over 30 years (I don't see it coming down any time soon.) Now I live in a small town that also has been accused of being racist. IT IS NOT, nor is Troy.

As far as your friend Opiate, He is living in one of the biggest racist communities there are. Houston Tx. to Plaino Tx. and all small town in between are very much racist. He would know for sure what racism is. He is living in the heart of it.

Rocks Rules you are slightly misinformed. I can not speak for Plano, but Houston is a diverse city with a well know recent history of tolerance and acceptance. That's not to say it hasn't had it's past incidences and to be sure there are racist elements and extreme ideologies of hate. But overall Houston is one of the best places I have lived.

George Bush's new community north of Dallas has had a deed restriction on the books for decades barring people of color from living there. Now if you head a little east towards Vidor,they also had a sign warning blacks to get out of town by dark,that's a different story and we all know what happened in Jasper.

Racism is everywhere. The only defense is to expose it to the light of day and not act like it doesn't exist.

Any and all cities need to be actively involved in the protection of their community. Inner cities and the problems with murder, gang activity, drugs and the like are all examples of what happens when communities turn a blind eye to their surroundings and don't act when necessary. If, not just blacks, but ANY people with bad intentions are afraid to step their feet into a community, that community is doing what's right.

Now, that said, I think it's unfortunately clear that actions speak louder than words. Certain groups of people have helped along stereotypes. It makes it difficult for everyone involved to carry on without a suspicious eye cast their way.

Yeah, it cuts both ways. I've been to Troy. I grew up in Edwardsville. Neither town was racist in my opinion. But crap is not allowed because it simply makes life crappy. And you can have your crappy life in the Bronx or any other big city where crime is an everyday fact of life and people live sheltered and shuddered lives.

Well it looks like non-racist lady has no good reason to accuse Troy as being racist.
It is nice to come home from work in the evening without the fear of crime and violence(Gretna). It is also nice to travel to my childhood home (Troy)and find the town I left many years ago.
I know my parents are safe in Troy. I would hope it stays that way.
Troy does not have a problem with other races, Troy and the town I am in has a problem with
the criminal element. Keeping out the bad makes for a much nicer town.
I have a few acquaintance in Troy that are scared to drive across town. Not because they are black, but they have been known drinkers. They are watched as they are the criminals when they get behind a wheel of a car and rightly should be watched. I also have a mixed marriage friends in Troy they have lived there their whole adult lives with children and no problems with the other residents or police.
Back to Who Know question, What is it that Troy has said or done that makes you start a thread like this? Please help us under stand you why you feel this way.

I know that the town is raciest. I married a guy for Troy and I know A LOT of people from there. And almost all of them are VERY raciest. When he graduated they had to bus in minorities so that there would be some in his school. Out of his graduating class of 435 there was 1 black guy. Troy is a bad as Highland. I really don't get how race has anything to do with anything. I grew up in Lebanon and we were 50/50. I guess it's just how you're raised.

What year did he graduate and where did they bus kids from?

Troy safe? I have lived here for less than a year and have already had my car broken into and vandalized... I live close to Riggin road in what LOOKS like a nice neighborhood, however I seem to see a lot of people wandering the streets very late at night... I don't know anybody here but my wife...so I don't know who would have a reason to vandalize our property.... on the other hand I see Troy PD all over the place... I don't know if Troy is racist or not, but it does seem likely. I get a creepy vibe from some of the people here! The parks and schools are nice, however...
