Lucas candy....poisonous?

People say that Lucas candy has led in it.

Is that true?

yeah, they're saying that the regular lucas products DO contain high amounts of lead. thats why they "discontinued" them. now supposedly you can only find the "baby lucas" candies.

OMG, this is too funny!! I thought my little brother and I were the only ones jonesing for Lucas!! Ok, I found a similar product, it's called Zumba acidin, has a red bee looking character on the side, it looks like the Lucas font and it's the yellow bottle!! The stuff is hot and sour, just like I remember it!(are you drooling?!) I found it in a 99 cent store by my house (Long Beach, CA). Hope you can find some out where ever you are!!

I googled lucas candy and found a shop where they still sell all types of lucas, including the Limon kind. I'm in luv with a stripper.

-- lol i missed Lucas for the longest time and had to substitute with this other stuff called Acirrico and picositos.. until i found the ZUMBA acidin and it is the closest thing its soo good. i got it at a little mexican store in sun valley

How funny, I am so not alone in the world. As a kid I loved Lucas!! Then I was told there was lead in it so I had to stop but werid thing is now that I am pregnant I have been craving it like crazy!! I found Acirrico and it was close but not the same. I kept looking and found Zumba Acidin. I literally just bought it yesterday. I tried it once and it does tatse very simiilar to Lucas. But, I still have concerns that even though the name and company have changed does this one have lead in it as well? Being pregnant now I dont want anything to happen to my unborn child. If anyone knows please let me know. Thanks guys and happy to be not so ashamed of searching everywhere in my town for Lucas!

Okay I Had Some Today My Friend Went to Reno And Got It And She Let Me Have Some Oh My Friggin God I Want More But Her Dad Said It Is Not Alowed To Be Sold In Oregon Anymore It Is Because "Has Lead In It" But I think That That Isnt True And I Think That It Just Didn't Sell Very Well So Appearantly It Is Just Like Faygo And Has To Much Lead In It For It To Be Safe To Consume And I Don't Really Care Because It Tastes Uber Good And It Is Wonderful I Want More Of It Right Now If Any Of You Know Of A Store That Sells It Near Coos Bay Oregon Please Tell Me I Want Some It Has Got To Have Something In It That Is Addictive Because I am Hooked And Want More Please Let There Be Some Higher Power That Lets Me Get Some More Please ^//.//^

There are to things to be said here, one is that lucus is disgusting, and two led is poisonous and if u eat it it can cause serious illnesses and rarley death

zumba acidin is amazing, but it probably still has lead in it. i am a total acidito adict, finally i can have my fix again.

if you lived in texas you could get twang. its pretty much the same thing. only they have lemon lime, pickle, lime, and other kinds too.

Dude, somethin in Lucas has to be addicting... they must have put something addicting in it... everyone that tries it is addicted. I'm trying to find some of that zumba acidin because i heard it taste exactly the same. Mmmm!!!
