my home town of montpelier ohio will miss linsi very much and i don't know why it has to happen to a loving girl like linsi.

I agree with Randy, but I also believe this kid should burn for what he did. Linsi was a joy for all and brightend everyones life, she was destined to do great things. It's a shame she was taken so early.

This guy dated my daughter 2 years ago, when they broke up he stalked her for weeks after they split up.

I live in Lima, so although I didn't know her, I had to post something on this heinous crime.(That's my blog Lost in Lima Ohio) if anyone has any information on Wegmann that they are willing to share- I'd be interested in hearing it. Or any thoughts they want to share on Linsi. Rick Wegmann went to my high school for a year, he was extremely creepy...he used to draw pornographic pictures of a friend of mine in religion class, and hide them all over the room...this is no joke

Ive known ricky for years...he truly is a good person, i can't explain his actions whatsoever and i'm very sorry to hear about the girl he murdered. My condolences go out to both families. I know ricky's family and they are one of the most loving and caring families i've ever met. This is extremely upsetting for me to hear all of this. I've never been so shocked in my life.

My g/f was friends with this guy in highschool. She is so sympothetic with him, but I cant say I care. I hope he goes away for a long time, for taking a life as he did.

I have been to many funerals at the age of 20, and my thoughts are with Linsi's friends and family. It is god awful what happened, and there is no excuse.

I hope he sees the inside of a jail cell for the next few decades.

As a 'concerned parent", I hope you contacted this boy's parents directly to discuss this behavior so that they could act on it.

I am a teacher at Montpelier High School and I had Linsi in many classes. She was an awesome person and will really be missed. I know that Wegmann went to court today to enter a plea. Does anyone know what he pled? I hope they put him away for a LONG time and don't let him plea bargain. Linsi didn't deserve what she got.

He plead "Not Guilty" and hired 3 lawyers. Good thing daddy makes a bunch of money huh?
I hope he gets EVERYTHING he deserves. Seriously. I can't even imagine it being done, but it was.

He has a pretrial on March 10th at 2:30 in front of Judge Warren.

Not only did he plead not guilty, but they actaully asked for a reduced bail (from $500,000 to $100,000) and a gag order. Althought the reduction was denied, the judge did approve the gag order.

To keep tabs on bail, and hearings you can go to the allen county clerks site http://www.co.allen.oh.us/cle_disclaimer.php once you accept, you can search by last name for wegmann. It doesn't give alot of information, but will tell hearing dates and you'd be able to see if he posts bail sometime in the future. I think they update it nightly, but it is Lima so expect them to get lazy once in a while.

Just to clarify a few things with anyone with questions rather this was an accident or not. I spoke to linsi just two days prior to her murder and at that time i could tell something was bothering her. and if you knew linsi she didnt let things really get to her so when she told me about her phones ebing broken by hima nd that she basically didnt trust him I toke it very seriously. So if you are a member of his defense than maybe you should take into consideration that he was a jealous possessive person that should never see teh outside of a jail cell. He toke someone very special to me and that will never be forgotten....

There are reports on the web, allegedly from someone who should know, that Linsi was killed with her own gun. According to these reports (you can find them - I did) she acquired a handgun last year in order to feel safe. How sad, and how ironic.

I hope the prosecutor is a good one.

I went to school with Linsi and we became close during wrestling season because we both we matmaids. She didn't deserve what that guy did to her and I really hope he pays for what he did.Personally I don't believe he should ever see daylight again and to think that his daddy bailed him out of jail the night it happened.If he was my son I would have let him sit there no matter how much money I had.

I went to grade school with Ricky at Incarnation. I always knew he was strange from conversations I had with him. Over the years, he continued to freak me out more and more but i never imagined he would kill someone. I hope that he stays in jail for a long time for taking the life of a young girl who had everything going for her.

Do you know that the gun that killed her was her own> Where did you find the info on the gun?
