If thats what you think, then you've totally missed my point or can't understand it while you are firing away your second grade insults towards me. Nowhere in any post I've made regarding bikers have I catagorized or stereotyped anyone that rides. There are others who have done a fine job of that without my help. I, along with many others, get tired of bikers in general preaching to the other motorized public to watch out for them, like they are more special than anyone else on the road. It especially disgusts me when I have an encounter such as I explained in my letter to the editor in the Erie Times, or, say for instance, what I witnessed this evening. I was coming home I-376, heading east, when I saw a faint light that I could barely make out on the freeway. This is probably the busiest freeway in the Pittsburgh area, always congested with traffic. I was driving along at 71 mph, and as the light got closer, I noticed it was a dual sport type bike, similar to what you see being raced in the Paris to Dakar off road race. He must have passed me going close to 100 mph, with little lighting on his bike. We see signs all over telling us to "Watch for Aggressive Drivers", "Don't Tailgate", and so on, constantly reminding automobile drivers to watch out for each other. Then through the month of May we see the Motorcycle Awareness jiberish. And my good friends from ABATE always writing in the Erie Times and other publications to watch out for their brother and sister bikers. But when is action taken targeting these reckless bikers that we all see on a daily basis? Whether Kats never seems to see the riders in Nowhereville or not, they are out there, a majority, not a minority. From the bare chested and helmetless moron riding down I-79 at close to or exceeding 100mph, to others witnessing large groups of riders leaving from the Harley Davidson store on W 26th street, cutting motorists off with no regard to anything else but their own arrogance, to the couple that was recently killed in Harborcreek. It's time to focus attention on the biking public and the black eye that the new age of rider is putting on the sport. Don't tell me to look twice, make yourselves seen. Don't make yourselves out to think you deserve any more attention on our roadways than anyone else....if bikers are that concerned about being on our roads, then stay the hell off of them.

WELL, thanks for another long winded biased piece of crap about riders. Gee 100 MHP? BARECHESTED? NO lights or low lighting? Where are those damn cops when you need them? ATGATT Gee Scott I live by this * ALL THE GEAR ALL THE TIME meaning I wear a jacket, boots over my ankle, gloves etc. Like I said don't count us all under the few bad apples you see, I surely have never had my bike up past 80 and then I was passing a car.. 100 I would be afraid for sure... Look twice save the life of your neighbor kid on a bike in the street, an jogger that is running on the road, bambi, the neighbor's dog or cat who just wandered out in the road, some motorized wheelchair zipping out of nowhere.. I was taught in drivers ed. to look twice and believe me I will as I would not want to hurt anyone.. CLICK IT OR TICKET Scotty boy

Its childish and hits "white-trash-ish". Get a LIFE! Of course, these are the people who when told to get a life by their parents didnt listen and I dont expect they will listen now. As for Pete Fonda, he is most recognized than Jesus Christ in Erie. That is sad. He is a washed up actor that represents a "generation". Just what did this "Generation" do that was so great anyway? The ones riding motorcycles sure as shit didnt do anything great. Bill Gates - YES. Steve Jobs - YES. These are people that made something of themselves. For the most part, this "Generation" of hippies and burnouts, also known as the parents of Generation X, left their mark with Drugs, Alcohol abuse, Divorce, Fraud, and did anything BUT serve as a role model for younger generations. Just my opinion - hear me ROAR. I will say, do you drive a car? Because for some of us bikers you are a danger to us! So many times you ignore our presents. Have you been involved in one of these crashes? Have you been charged in seriously injuring a biker? Why else would you say what you have said? We are middle class, upper class, hard working people! We've earned the right to have freedom on the road like any other vehicle. As for drinking and driving, never while driving any vehicle, music well Bob isn't bad, but don't have time listening for I work alot, and as for white trash, you must mean the white trash bags I sit at the curb on trash night, as for Gates and Jobs, well I give to alot of charities around our Erie region, DO YOU? As for my 6 grandkids I am a great role model, and I teach them to respect everyone, did you have a role model? Doesn't seem like you have any respect! So quit living in your hole and get out more, you might actually start enjoying life! Have a great day! Oh yea I am woman hear me ROAR

I stopped at a biker's bar to use the room, and the front door said, "No Colors Inside." I found several lone, drunk tattooed biker chicks with no front teeth at the bar. Geez, they had their front teeth pulled to please their hog men, and they're still alone and drunk at the bar. Go figure.

We come from all walks of life, from docs and lawyers. to factory workers to the low lifes you think do jobs as painting houses and roofers, Which by the way stupid we do jobs that your sorry azz wont do. Which I dont think you know how to do anything but collect a welfare check and smoke crack. Do the rest of the world and fall of the human race

As a college educated, insurance executive making in excess of $80k annually, I suggest you move out of Erie and find a better clas of people. You can't lump all bikers into the PA catagory. Maybe its the economy that leads to your class of biker. Tsk Tsk Tsk for judging a book by its cover.
