As a new Twin Cities resident, I really like Lunds for their variety of food but find it to be a bit pricey for more basic items. I don't think that will be detrimental to the success of a store downtown if the convenience is there in terms of access and parking.

Sure. Spend 25 to 30 percent more at a nearby Lunds. It's s0000000000 convenient. And have latte-dah with authentic raw sugar and imported camel dung. Shaken. But not stirred.

A foreshadowing of high Lunds prices is in their ability to buy lots on TWO nearby street corners. Hold on to one for five years and do nothing with it at all, then decide to lease the building, which was Billy Graham's HQ, and then build from the ground up on the next block!

Do those Lundies have money up the gazzulah? You betcha.
