In Harford Co., residents pay their own way for safe streets
We're trying to fight to gain control
On a typical day in First Harford Square, children ride bikes and mothers push strollers to the playground, amid grassy hills and well-kept lawns. But at night, residents say, their Edgewood neighborhood often takes a turn for the worse. Teenagers have been known to toss bricks and rocks at passing cars, slash tires and spray red paint on parked cars. Some incidents are far worse: This month, a woman was pistol-whipped while walking her dog. Earlier in the summer, a teenage girl working at the neighborhood pool was beaten by a group of teens who climbed the fence. And nearly three years ago, a cabdriver and father of nine was gunned down in a gang initiation.

i lived there for awhlie and it's bad. edgewood is bad because it has alot of low incomes. what up with all these girls ,giving gangs a place to lay thier heads and do crime on the town. the apt mangers know.one time it was starting to clean up. when mr.aderson was manger in edgewater village.and it seen like the cops was on them too.but gone for years.drug dealers and crack heads has taken over now.it's little baltimore.

If edgewood needs "MARTIAL LAW" so does "Perry Hall" and "Bel Air" you mean those spoiled brat kids do not do the same thing lol they are druggies also you really don't think they spend mommy and daddy's money at barnes and nobles in the avenue do you? you can not be that stupid.I bet if you put some of those baltimore city cops in Bel Air and Perry Hall you will be singing a differnt note!.........SMH |

I use to work at giovanni's that italian restaurant next to BBX or OASIS what ever they call that liquor store, I use to walk to and from there from topview, I have never had a problem with anyone except those stray pitbulls running around and if I did have a problem with someone I would beat the hell out of them these are kids people get real! take your belt off and put it to some good use catch them with the buckle while your at it. KIDS!

Oh please. Perry Hall and Bel Air won't be touched. They are jewels of the county because they are white prominent. Even though the same things are going on there nothing will be done. Everyone thinks they are innocent and nothing happens. Lets just deal with what everyone thinks is the main problem and maybe it will scare the other places straight. Hm? |

The bad neighborhoods get it from the good neighborhoods ,so if you were a cop and was patrolling west baltimore you are not going to pull over a group of white kids?????....hmm I wonder what those white kids in mommy's fancy car are doing in a west baltimore neighborhood they clearly do not belong! ever see training day when those kids were in mommy beetle trying to buy crack from the mexicans ? yeah my point exactly it was just a movie I know but do not get it twisted it happens in reality also . |
