lololol That is AWESOME! That doctor is the MAN! I have to ask though, Why would pharmacies fill a script for a doctor with an EXPIRED DEA #? Is this artice basically saying that somebody can print prescription forms out with a retired doctor's and their (or somebody else who is a friend) phone number on it and these can actually be FILLED?

I got a similar story, cept its was totally legit.
Back when the shortage was in full swing, my Dr.'s office made every effort to make sure they had enough meds to fill all their patients scripts. But come to find out the one of the owners of the office also happens to be a pain patient as well. So the other owner who is not a pain patient and the office head nurse, called me to let me know the day after my appointment that they had gotten my meds in that I could come get them, when I got there they were waiting outside for me and asked me to meet them elsewhere, I had to go get cash for them so I told her to meet me at the bank, right down the street. When she got there is when she let me know why?? I guess to keep the other owner from knowing that they had any medicine in the office they could not dispense with him there, when they had called me to come in he wasn't there , but just as I pulled in he pulled in right behind me so this was the only way they could figure out how to accomplish this without him knowing anything. She said when she went into the business with him that she had no idea that he took pain meds, or she would not have invested with him, but now she is stuck and is covering her ass. I feel very blessed to have such a office provide care for me, especially with all thats going on right now. They have always protected us, and she kicks out any Dr' Shoppers or any shady patients that might try and get in, and they take insurance. So they are very different from the clinics all over Oakland Park, very strict but I think very worth it.

lol DEFINATLY strange! Did ya leave your scripts there and they just fill them as they get meds? If so that is pretty awesome. My PM office had them the whole time (Mostly) during the shortage, But they JACKED yp the price from $1.10 a pill to a WHOPPING $4.00 a pill!!! I took them to a local pharmacy (They were cool because they would ONLY sell them to people who have gotten scripts there before in the past, that way all of their customers didnt have to worry) and they were $2.50 a piece which wasnt too bad! lol I MISS GETTING EM FOR 80 CENTS EACH!!!!

For real, one for my friends was holding a script for OVER 2 weeks! Nobody had em besides PM clinics! That was a rough time for alot of people that I know.

That is cool that they do that for their patients, They sound like great people who care about their patients as opposed to being "Script writers".

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
