As you can see my surname is Bruin and I was wondering if anyone can tell me how the town ofBruin PA got its name.

Bruin was originally Martinsburg PA. When the Post Office came there was already a Martinsburg (founded earlier), so they made them change the name. Bear Creek runs through Bruin, thus the name. Bruin meaning bear.

Does anyone know where the remains of the Pisgah (one room) School would be located in Eau Claire?
