It is about time. Mary's body was under the police nose the whole time. Why did it take almost 3 weeks to discover her body? This is some weak investigation. If she had been white, the process would have been so much different! I am not proud to call Port St. Joe home any more!

Probably because they thought she was actually missing and not murdered. Hardly people get murdered in St. Joe! i just hope they find her killer! Her and her family need justice.

Why should anyone be surprised about this.....the Miami Herald did an op-ed piece in the '70's about a woman who murdered her husband and got away with it. Basically they said if you wanted to get away with murder in Florida Gulf county was the place to be! And what about the deputy's whose wife drowned in the '90's in about 5 inches of water, they allowed them to move her car before any evidence was collected at the scene. How many ways can you spell corruption?

The men and women that protect our communities in the Gulf area are to be applauded. Instead, some are quick to accuse them of prejudice. Why don't we focus on the criminals who commit the crime and hold our wagging tongues before making baseless accusations. We are in the 21st century now and we have come a long way. I trust these officers who receive solid training in order to qualify and daily risk their lives in service to their communities. They are not perfect in everything they do, just as none of us who comment are perfect either.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Capricorn

Self deception will be the main issue today. You may be judging your situation wrongly: don't hold back, say what you think diplomatically and without being hurtful. This should result in a positive mental outlook for you. Competitive sports activity will ease any stress or tension.
