now who's sleeping with who?

Land development does not equal economic development. This is not a good thing.

Great reporting!!! What are her qualifications? What are her credentials? So she worked for Lou Pektor and is bailing out with the burst housing bubble. Thats it?
|
|
|
Wonder if she will recuse herself on Pektor's projects or any potential or pproposed project involving Pektor?
|
|
|
The ET reports that she is only 28 years old. Neither news outlet provides any background information on her education and experience other than she worked for Lou Pektor. Is this really the best candidate for the job?

The print edition of the Morning Call had a side column with her credentials. My husband took the paper to work already but I remember reading that she had an undergraduate degree (I believe from NYU), and is pursuing her MBA at Lehigh and is expecting to complete it in 2009. |

I'm with conflict on this.

The most valuable spy is a double agent. She seems bright. I give her the benefit of the doubt that she may be able to lend some brains to the brainless down there in Easton.
She has three years to get someting done and then Panto is booted out of office. |

The credentials have since been listed. She sounds qualified to me. I now anxiously await Billy Givens rebuttal.

Lew Pektor is liquidating just so he can stay afloat... Pektor layed off 90 %of his staff .. she probably was collecting unemployment..snatched away... hahahahaha

OMG! A woman! Show me a headline saying MAN hired. LOL. Stop the presses!

He credentials sound great - an MBA from Lehigh - one of the best schools in the area. Easton needs a fresh perspective to re-energize the area and someone younger, full of ambition is just what Easton needs.

The article says she graduated from NYU in 2002 and then took a job in 2006. What was her degree in and what did she do for four years.
Then in 2006 she got a whole 20 months of experience with Ashley. And this deserves a 70K salary - in the public sector? And to "Good For Easton", it says she is working toward a MBA... BFD - it will have taken her seven years from undergrad date to when she gets it, and depending on what her undergrad degree is - the MBA could require as few as 10 Lehigh classes. |

Good ole MCALL hacks. |

This is literally putting the Fox in the henhouse. Pector is tight with so many Pol.s, all he has to do is point and click and things happen.
Is she qualified, why not. Are there more qualified less connected folks out there who have a bit more experience and Easton understanding, you bet. It's the same old story its not what you know, it's who you know. |
|
|
Undergrad from NYU and MBA from Lehigh often equates to starting salary over $70K - with no experience.
If she is any good, she could probably earn more elsewhere but is accepting this to stay local and work in the public sector.

I'm sure she'll do fine. I just think it's interesting to see yet another aspect of Pektor's failing empire.

Hats off to this fine young lady. I have known her for years having attended Moravian Academy with her. She is intelligent, bright, hard-working and full of fresh ideas. The Mayor should be applauded for hiring her. She is another asset on his staff of young energetic professionals. I no longer live in the city but my heart is still there. In the burbs now but looking forward to a better Easton

If she is truly dedicated to economic development of Easton, her first symbolic move will be she moves into downtown Easton.
Now that would be leadership unheard of in the Lehigh Valley. |
