was it really that important to chase someone who stole a vacuum, to have two people die? i think anyone at this point would of rather just paid the damages. i am sure it will be another bloody nose for the police in that area, not that they need more.

r u kidding me! A high speed chase for a vacuum cleaner! Why did Palmer police chase this guy in the wrong direction on 22? To lose a life over something so trivial is senseless. What a shame, what a terrible shame.

If the officer didn't follow him onto the highway, people would be complaining he didn't try and stop him.

So true. Couldn't the police have gotten the license number and apprehended the suspect later? This could have been avoided. So horrible and sad that this resulted in 2 deaths.

so it was ok for the guy to drive the wrong way on 22 and kill people. You bad mouth the police and not the driver. Your like those people who bitch about our troops and government instead of the terrorists and the people who support them.

This is so sad two people die over a vacuum cleaner. As long as they had the plate number why chase them going the wrong way on 22 during rush hour. lives were lost over a vacuum cleaner from Boscovs. is a vacuum cleaner prob worth anywhere from $75. to $300 worth two lives.

I don't think anyone is bashing the police. They are just saying that 2 ppl died over a chase of a stolen vacuum cleaner. it is just sad that ppl had to die. ppl need to get jobs instead of stealing. it is so much easier for ppl to steal then get a real job like everyone else.

Why is it always the POLICE FAULT?

Who stole the vacuum cleaner? THE THEIF.
Who drove the wrong way? THE THEIF.
Who didn't stop for police? THE THIEF.
Who drove like a nut? THE THEIF.
Who cause the accident? THE THEIF.

Being in law enforcement these days is damned if you do and damned if you don't. The same people that bash them are the first to call if they have a problem though.

People always bad mouth the police, wake up it's all from the higher authority above. The poor guy was in such a hurry to get home and clean the house he went the wrong way, period......

Did you know stores don't get reimbursed for stolen/damaged merch?

This is a huge misconception, thus why people keep stealing from the"the man" thinking that the stores will just just paid anyway for the loss, not so,they make up for it in higher jacked up prices.

The thieves were idiots, all of that for a vacuum cleaner, hope their little,'thrill' was worth it.

As I was reading the article, I knew some of you dick heads would blame the police. The police should have done this, the police should have done that. If you're so freaking smart and experts at law enforcement why aren't you doing the job?!?
