Vacuum theft costs two lives

What a j-off!!!!

I think they should stand corrected they took an unborn child as well so this is three lives lost. my thoughts are with the woman/baby and her family

sure, everyone on here will blame the alleged vacuum thief.
but my question is this: the police chase that cost 3 lives, possibly a 4th who is still in critical condition, was it worth it? all over a freaking vacuum cleaner? give me a break.
these cops need to choose their battles. how did any of this "protect" any citizens? isn't that what the police are supposed to do?
putting potentially hundreds of citizens on the road at rush hour in danger over a stolen vacuum cleaner?? unbelievable!

This is such a tragedy and my prayers go out to the family. Poor judgment is the result of this tragedy and the police should have evaluated the situation a few more seconds. Also if the police had the description of the vehicle and knew he was a fugitive why did they not put a call out for help and what about tracking this guy in the air? In Atwn the helicopter flies when they are searching for someone. Why not here?

Sure..now the losers are coming out of the woodwork to blame the cop's. This piece of crap may have hooked a vacuum yesterday but maybe tomorrow he would have broken into your grammys house and beat her for some drug money. You people who blame the cops make me and every other hardworking person sick.He's dead and thats where he belongs. God bless this poor women, her baby and family.

Was it worth it:
what are the cops supposed to do when a fleeing vehicle gets on the wrong way at a highway?? Let him continue?? At least with flashing lights and a siren, motorists may have some warning.

it never should have gotten to that point!

it was rush hour. there should have been no chase to begin with.

the risks far outweighed any possible benefit.

I agree there were alot more situations presented here to the officers than just a stolen vacum, he was wanted in a number of places and was a known felon, I am sure the officers knew that when his plate was run, before all this happend, its so very tragic, but blame the dirt bag that started it all to begin with, and yes they could not just let him drive down the highway like that and the wrong way. There are just too many peices of shi* in this world! and he was just one of them.

You are clueless. As to the question on a helicopter, again tell me where that is coming from? No police department in this area has air cover except the State Police and I believe that's in Reading if I remember correct. These events didn't take tens of minutes they took seconds, nice way to try and talk about things you know nothing about. Real life isn't TV.

First - to all of you who wish my family sympathy. thank you. That was my niece who lost her life. It was my brother and wifes only child and they were very close. Her mother is devasted as we all. Now to the "brother" of that animal who didnt give a damn about what he was doing.... if it really is a brother let us know why we shouldnt feel this way. we lost a very important family member over a F.....vacuum... and thats ok????

May this cretin and any who support the parole of violent offenders rot in he11.

Had he not been paroled he would not have continued his crime spree that took two innocent lives (the lady and her baby).

There is only rehabilitation in death and unfortunately this criminal took people with him.

I got something to say. How about you sit on their porch all day and all night and see how they were affected. How about you live next door to them for so long and have them like family and see someone who is like a sister get taken away from you. Your brother and sister got what they deserved. They took a wonderful womans life as well as a baby. Her mother has been waiting her whole life to become a grandmother and some scumbag took that from her. So yeah, i have a problem with it, her dad has a problem with it, and so do about 50 other people who were directly affected by this have a problem with it.
