Northampton County Prison cancels visits after inmates fall ill

Thats funny that the paper only knows about 100 cases. We were there and there are 361 cases.

Sounds more like a norovirus(Norwalk).

Now is a good time to take extra measures regarding getting drugs into the prison.

With no outside visitors, who do you keep an eye on?

contain the virus...gas the prisoners, let's show NJ what were made of..

if they all keel over, take the remainder of the prison budget and refund it to the taxpayers

Jen - how many prisoners do you know, none - cause if you did you know that they don't stay there for free. They get a nice bill when they are released
And there families suffer too and they are taxpapers just like you. No one deserves bad food, not prisoners or you.

sorry I don't know any prisoners either but do believe they deserve bad food, bad living conditions, no TV, no gym either! it's prison, and they are being punished. I don't send my kids to their room for punishment to watch TV and eat steak?

Whats the difference between the guards and the visitors.

When you go to see the prisoner's you are behind glass and talk to them on the phone.

The guards rome around and come home and give it to the general public.

Quarantine the guards and all the staff, you will see the conditions get better quick.

In Lehigh County they are behind glass and on the phone. In Northamtpon County they are not behind glass. Depends on the County.

my bro works there as a guard and there are a lot of sick people there...inmates and other guards. From what he tells me that place is a dump and its no wonder more people aren't sick ALL the time. He comes home everyday and scrubs himself down. Visitors can be in contact with the inmates if they so choose. Thats their choice if then choose to see a sick inmate. It just sucks that the guards are bringing the germs home to their families. From just the general printed symptons, it sounds more like Norovirus, which is also easily spread.

Northampton County screws up again! What else is new.

to bad the only way a prisoner is watchin tv, gettin phone calls ect, is if the family does it for them. not everyone deserves to be punished.

not all do ...and you have no right to say that because if your husband or father was locked up for something they didnt do im pretty sure you wont want them eating food that thier cell mates pissed in or spit in ....we all deserve equal rights
