With studies and sports, when does a student have time for drugs?

I believe our tax dollar supports these students!

"With studies and sports, when does a student have time for drugs?"

I think it's fair to say the majority of college students consume alcohol. This too is a drug. In fact, it is a more dangerous and destructive drug then marijuana.

Just remember, Bill Gates invented Windows during his pot head years.
And Micheal Phelps managed to win all those gold medals even though he used marijuana.

In 8000 years of known use there has never been a documented death directly attributed to consuming Pot! Ever! There is a term researchers use when determining a substance toxicity. It's called LD 50. It's when 50 % of the test animals die after being given a specific dose of the chemical or drug being tested. Researchers haven't been able to induce any animal to die no matter how much of a concentrated dose of Pot is given. The theoretical amount for pot (LD 50 ) is the equivalent of between 20 and 40 thousand joints that would have to be smoked in 15 minutes. I challenge anyone to do that!
Pot should be RE-LEGALIZED!

People often say that pot is the "stepping stone or gateway drug" which leads to harder drugs like black Tar Heroine. The statistics just don't support this "yellow journalistic view." In fact, less than 3 out of a hundred pot smokers take cocaine and 1 out of hundred do Heroine. These lies were started by Harry J. Anslinger, a law and order prohibitionist who was the first "Drug Czar" of the United States. He was also the Nephew of a Congressman who was friends with and heavily invested in the Hurst Publishing Empire. The Bill to outlaw Hemp was rushed thru the legislature without scientific study or congressional debate on the subject. Every study done on pot from the Laguardia report to the Schaffer study during the Nixon Administration found no reason for it to be illegal. Nixon was afraid that pot smoking hippies would not support the war in Vietnam and he thru it into the garbage without even reading it.

There are a few reasons why Pot is illegal. In the south it was criminalized in order to control Mexicans in Texas and African Americans in New Orleans. but the biggie was when William Randolph Hurst and Dupont conspired with the southern cotton growers to snuff out any competition against there business interests. Hurst was a publishing mogul who invested heavily in making paper from trees. Duponts new product (nylon) was in direct competition with rope and textiles made from Hemp. It takes only 1 acre of Hemp to make the equivalent amount of paper made from 4.1 acres of trees! And Hemp paper is more durable, doesn't yellow with age and is a renewable resource. Hemp paper doesn't need toxic chemicals to produce or fertilizers to grow (it's a weed). The majority of bibles, school books and clothing were made from hemp up till the 1900's. Even though you can't get high from hemp, it was outlawed too. If Hemp and Pot were legalized it could save the world dangerous drugs and petroleum products! Pot should be re-legalized !!!!

Man, what hole did you just crawl out of? The war on Pot is a war against America. Pot prohibition fuels terrorist organizations with money that could be going to pay off our national debt. Alcohol prohibition not only didn't work, it made things worse! The same is true for pot. It puts the the dealer in charge of who he/she sells too. Dealers seldom ask for ID's and it is well known that it's easier for kids to buy pot than alcohol. Let's regulate it and tax it like alcohol. Alcohol kills 80,000 Americans every year. Tobacco kills 450,000 Americans every year. Pot doesn't kill anyone and in fact has been used as medicine for thousands of years.
Wake up America !! It's time we re-legalized Hemp !!!

Thanks again to the law enforcement personnel who diligently perform their duties in this ongoing effort to address the illegal activities on campus, in cities, in rural areas, etc.

Gratitude to the clear-minded officers, secretaries, citizens, teens, administrators and to everyone who does not want drive on the same streets as the stoned, wasted, high, or whatever label they happily give themselves.

Kudos to the individuals and groups who proudly stand up for the PA statutes by obeying them. Supporting and participating in illegal activities makes one part of the larger problem as one supports larger criminal groups that have weapons and launder money. Obviously, pot smokers' funds support guns, criminals, and violence.

As many local Berks County elementary, middle and high school students continue to fight drug use, perhaps they should include the university students in their clubs and drug-free activities. It appears that the clearer-minded DARE students are better and more responsible citizens than some attending university.

Incidently, most Kutztown students do not use drugs nor do they want to study or live among those who do. Their drug and alcohol free behaviors are silent witness to the seriousness of their commitments to academic, social, and community responsibility - both on and off campus.

Thanks to them for being the true leaders and role models for the next generations of our younger brothers and sisters.

Too bad they don't concentrate on the Bethlehem ring of people bringing in drugs for the students at Lehigh and Moravian (yes, it is actually happening). People like Raymond Poitier and his cronies from New York City have been getting away with it for awhile and no one raises the red flag because these two colleges are so-called elite.

Actually, there is a lot of people now who are driving everyday while high on pot. If there was a problem we would have seen it by now and the press would be parading these people around saying "look at all these accidents caused by pot smokers" but there isn't. Thats because pot smokers don't drive crazy like drunk drivers.
In fact, people are more likely to drink and get drunk if they don't smoke pot. Pot usually keeps people from drinking too much because they are already feeling good from the pot and can't drink too much. It's the lack of pot that makes people drink more and this is very well known to the tobacco and alcohol beverage lobby which are the biggest supporters of anti drug advertisements like "Dare". They know that if pot were legalized their profits would plummet !!!!
Alcohol ruins your Liver and tobacco gives you lung cancer but pot hasn't been proven to anything bad for you (you don't have to smoke it). Pot smokers don't get bad withdrawal symptoms whereas alcohol withdrawal can kill you. Tobacco is more addictive than Heroine! And yet pot is a schedule 1 drug right up there with Heroine and methamphetamine!!!!!! It makes no sense at all !! Other than there being a conspiracy against it by the big drug companies that can't make a profit from it because anyone can grow it in there own backyard yard garden. Just think if you could grow your own organic medicine without having to rely on poisonous drugs pedaled by the big drug companies ! It's called freedom... what a concept!

I didn't realize you wanted a bigger list of marijuana consumers that gained success in life.

Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bob Dylan, Steven Colbert, Rick Steves, Richard Burton, Peggy Noonan, John Kennedy, John Lennon, George Carlin, Walter Benjamin, Morgan Freeman, Carl Sagan, Pierce Brosnan, Woody Harrelson, Ed Harris, Randy Moss, Lewis Black, Bill Maher, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bing Crosby, Queen Victoria, Buddy Rich, Donna Shalala, Newt Gingrich, Montel Williams, Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Bradley, Al Gore, Ross Rebagliati, Gary Hall, Seth Rogan, Michael Bloomberg, Kareem Abdule-Jabbar, Richard Feynman, Oliver Sacks, John Hay, Jack London, Paul McCartney.

Should I keep Going?

It's a losing argument people. There will always be people that do not understand the use of pot. There are so many drugs out there that make people violent, paroniod and some many other effects - like prescription meds.
I've known people that have had such effects with Vicoden, that they found smoking pot to ease there pain and stress and tension that they didn't need the list of pain killers the Dr prescribed. Its crazy people, but the drugs that Dr's are peddling are far worse then pot.
But I did read that pot does cause lung cancer at a faster rate then cigerettes. Thing is people do not smoke pot as many times as one smokes cigerettes.

Okay, I've read enough from you! First, you spew these "facts" but who knows if they are true because no one is really THAT interested in the history of pot nor the research done with it....
Second, either you are a huge pothead or just pot smoking kid who is home sick from school today. Whichever it is ... it will be difficult to find many law-abiding citizens to take your side on this one. Until it's legalized, which unless for medical reasons, I "HIGHLY" doubt that it will happen anytime soon, as of now, it is ILLEGAL!!
So go on, smoke your pot, giggle a little and munch on some cookies, just don't get caught!!!
