Search to resume for missing girl in Fort Fairfield

My sincerest wishes and prayers that Baby Alexandra is found safe and well.
A Baby with the face of an angel.
This Family will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.
I lost a Son to the river last year.
Many view the River as beautiful but there are some that see it in a much different light.
It holds captive so many lives,along with the hopes dreams,and plans for the future.
May this tiny precious Baby not be one of them.

I hope that she's found but it's doubtful. What should happen is Jail time for the mother. I am familiar with those sliding doors in those apartments, and they are very hard to open. Something crooked happened here, and it wasn't "while the mother was in the bathroom" . Given that the rest of her children have already been taken away from her...the fault rests on the mother's hands, and she should be prosecuted for neglect 5 times over for each of her children.

I think everyone is being a little hard on the family of Alexandria. No one knows what really goes on behing closed doors. Regardless of making mistakes and being young and stupid. Doesn't mean she didn't love her daughter, and regret the fact that she made very bad choices in her life.My heart goes out to her family. I hope she is found, so the family can be at some peace. Remember that, that little girl had more people love her than just her mother and father.

I also have very hard to open sliding doors and my 2 year old just opened them herself the other day! Has anybody considered the fact that maybe some creep snatched her from the apartment, and ran down by the river with her. Maybe he threw the boots in the river himself. I think there should of been a amber alert for her.

as a relative of one of the children in this home, all i see is how terrible of a mother Mandy is.. regardless of how her parenting skills are. Those children were always laughing and smiling and were clean. there is NO question there. NO ONE IS perfect, the fact remains. ALLIE Is STILL MISSING, she has NOT been FOUND< the pictures circulated are not ever current, this child looks so different than the photo of her a year ago..

you think the mom should go to jail because she had to go to the bathroom? lets get real. some slider doors are very very easy to open.
shame on the finger pointing.. we should all use the power of prayer for ALL of the children and the Parents. Finding her alive would be a true miracle.. finding her would bring closure...

Allie is still missing and regardless of the circumstances one should stop judging and pray for everyone included, especially for the mother, father and siblings. None of us are perfect. This a terrible tragedy. Let's stop blaming and put our words, thoughts and prayers to good use.

I do not beleive the person posting as "the searching group" is truly one of the searchers. How could one that is that cynical and mean search for anyone missing such as Allie. I wonder just who this group is? Someone trying to cause major problems is what I think.

I agree with denise and dnoyes. This little girl needs to be found. Regardless of who did what, when. This story really touched me, because she looks soo much like my daughter. My heart goes out to the family. I think of her everyday, hoping she is found. There is nothing worse than not knowing where your baby is. I wish I could physically help look for her. P.s. I have been looking for that interview with the mother, mandy, that was on tv. does anybody know how to find it on the net?

We call ourselves the searching group for a reason we continue to search and pray to find little Allie. Yes Allie is still missing and she is the most important not to argue who did what. We just thought maybe the mother would say thank you or be searching herself but we now realize we don't need a thank you from the mother we do it for Allie. We pray everynight for her to be found. We apologize if we said anything to offend anybody we all want the same thing to find Allie safe.

We acknowledge that. Her grandmother and many others who didnt even know the little girl are hurt by this little girls disappearance

Having grown up in Limestone Siding,less than ten miles from the Fort I know a little about the country and how the river borders both the US and Canada.
There is a Damn in Perth(Tobique Narrows)which used to have and I imagine still does have huge gates that can be opened or closed.
There is also another in Beechwood which also has these gates.
Going up and down the river on the Cdn side you will find small fishing boats,rec.boats,etc traveling this time of year.
In Woodstock we just finished the Meduxikeg Canoe Races.
To date there has been no sign of Alexandra anywhere that I am aware of.
Allie has been missing all this time and regardless of the increasingly number of searchers,she is still missing.
Something is very wrong here!
If Allie were my Daughter,I wouldn't sleep,eat,drink,my time would be spent searching for her.
I read in some other reply that there were Donation Boxes/Bottles set up for Allie the same day she disappeared.
One being for a Memorial Stone....
If this is so...why or how could it of be determined that she was already gone?
She had not been found,she still hasn't.
Why in heavens name would someone take it upon themselves to do something like that?
Do they know something that the Police and the searchers are not aware of.
I have been following this Story from the beginning and it is one of tragedy and sadness.
A little Girl that had her whole life ahead of her,a baby that harmed no one.
If something was done to harm this little Girl of it is a case of neglect....I hope and pray that justice will prevail.
I have five Children and my oldest was born when I was sixteen.
All five of my Children are alive,happy,and healthy.
The age of the Parent does not determine the care a child is given.

I too think that someone took her as well. I do know that around the communities there are posters that have been put up in local businesses about the missing child. So my question is if they put the posters up..why aren't the authorities checking into that maybe someone did take her and planted the boots to make it look like she did fall into the river. I know that there is nothing said about that in the news..they are just looking at the river. I do know that the local govner of Maine did help with the search this past Saturday..which was nice. My prayers are with Allie where every she may be.

I am from Fort Fairfield and now live in Corinth, Me. My children would visit their Grandmother or Aunts every summer and not once went near that river until they got old enough to know better. If that was one of my kids I would be in that water looking for them every day. There is something wrong with the picture here. Does that young Mother have a problem. I thing that the one Year old should be her Grandfather Ronnie very nice man and would love that baby more than life itself.

I wonder just how much of the river has actually been searched. Isn't it a long river and with the high waters now receeded couldn't Allie be just about anywhere? Is the searching continuing down river and if so how far?
Also, has any other teams been called in to help?

I am not sure what to believe at this point in time. Is she in the river? Did Mandi give her to someone? All I do know is that the police where here in my house looking for her. I wish I had her. Then everyone would know where she was. Mandi had a girlfriend call my son(the father of Alexandria Lynn Winship-Wright) yesterday afternoon and Mandi was in the background saying that Ali was not in the river. She never once went to the river while I've been in Fort Fairfield. She is always with a bunch of friends laughing and joking in front of her apartment. All I know is that I would like some answers and no one seems to have them. I pray to God everyday that he will lead her back to us.
Anyone with any news would be greatly appreciated.

They are searching clear into Canada. There is the Tinker Damm there and they check regularly.
