Families Fight for Tougher Laws Against Sex Offenders

Sex offenders are NEVER cured. Sex offenders'drive will ALAWYS be there, unless (UNLESS) there is outside intervention. One of the side effects, of MANY medications, i.e. antidepressants, is low sex drive. There are medications out there that will ELIMININATE sex drive, that works on a part of the brain, that will make a difference. Chemical castration is available! If pedifiles really want to stop, they can, at least, take these meds. When I think of the priests, and other 'discovered' perpetrators, who say they are sorry, but don't take DRASTIC measures to stop their behavior, I say lock 'em up and throw away the key! They WILL hurt again! They deserve NO considerations. They deserve the worst that can be dealt them. They ROB their victims of all that is precious and decent! Frankly, I would put them to death, if they refuse to take drastic measures. They are scum and deserve NO considerations!

They're much like bullies and batterers. Allowing them to ever be free puts the public at risk.

i do agree that is why i am starting a petition and asking for everyones help nation wide to make the laws harder on sex offenders. to read it or sign it and pass on to your friends and family go to.

Hi my name's Trisha. I was looking at my local offenders list. Most of them dont even serve time , they get probation,house arrest, whatever. It makes me sick. I cant believe you can hurt a child like that and still be eligable for any and all federal benifits (foodstmps,low income housing, full 100% medical coverage, it goes on and on). 90% of all offenders on my local site did not serve over 2 - 2 1/2 years. At lest 50% did not even serve time at all. One guy lives in a very large low income housing development where at least 75-100 of the kids are under the age of 12. His victem was a female child 6-12 years of age. He is a 30 year old father himself.SCARY. I wish I could do something that would help toward getting these laws changed to much much tougher sentences or anything at all I can do to fight back.Every single person fighting, I KNOW , DOES make a diffrence! Right now these A--holes are getting a slap on the wrist.A person with second offence no insurence gets more time than a child molester.These guys make it difficult for these kids to grow up and have normal relationships with thier partners. I would have to agree with all of you,
It truly is a misfortune that our system allows this digusting horrible,horrible thing to contiuously happen to our children.
I to would like to make a difference and look for resources to keep them away.
I was under the assuption that predators werent allowed to live within a certain distance from public schools or any schools for that matter I was wrong there is one right down the block from me.and i have a young teenage girl and a little boy if anyone has info please post,help put these bitches away

I am from an upstate New York community. My 10 year old grand daughter was sexually abused by a 60 year old man. This man confessed to sexually abusing my grand daughter 3 times and pled guilty to the highest charge of child sexual abuse. This man should of been sent to state prison. Since he pled guilty to the highest charge the sentencing was completely up to the judge. The DA pleaded for a prison sentence, over the DA's objection the judge ordered this man to 10 years probation and a $270.00 fine. The judge made his decision on a report from the probation office. Come to find out that the probation officer who submitted the report to the judge was this pedifiles very good friend. This pedifiles probation is an unconditional probation. This man still has small children over his home, and seems to me his life is as normal as ever. His probation officer friend, who submitted the report to the judge, is this pedifiles probation officer at this time. I have contacted the probation office many times,I have written many letters to all State officials and politicians and that has done no good. If anyone can offer me any advise, I would greatly appreciate it.

My daughter was a victim of a sex offender. He was sentenced to 52 years in prison. For a change justice was served as he will be 102 before he comes up for parole. Now he was just heard a couple of weeks ago appealing his conviction. We are still waiting for a ruling. It took 10 months before this man was charged with anything. I had to contact my states attorney general office. I hope that you can get some justice. Because no matter what the sentence is there is no true justice for sex offenders that u can legally get by with!

Please help!I have just found a registered offender who attends the same martial arts school as my son and I.Atleast 40 children frequent this school.While they can't establish residence or work within 1000 ft of a school, they can actually attend!Furthermore, to my understanding,it's unlawful to confront him.He has been convicted 3 times.
Can anyone tell me how I can bring this matter public, to alert the other parents,without incriminating myself?
I am prepared to do whatever it takes.We have to protect our children!

You people need to read a book and get a life. This is a modern day witch hunt. Fight by getting educated. Read all sides. Walk a day in the shoes of an S.O. on probation and see for yourself its no cake walk. If you belive in Justice, than one who pays his debt,like an other kind of criminal, should be free like anyone else. And for you bright bulbs, at least spell Pedophille correctly.

I was kidnapped, beat and raped when I was a child. My attacker is in a Texas state prison and does not have a release date. He will die in prison!I am a mother of three great kids now and just bought our first home about two and a half years ago. Six months after moving in, we got new nabors. My daughters are twelve and fourteen. Our new nabor had just been listed on the new mexico sex offenders list for molesting a twelve year old child. My youngest child has dreams of him standing out side of her window at night watching her. We live in constant fear. He has assured us we have nothing to worry about. It was a one time mistake. He's sorry!

if you are are in possession of bb gun it is a mandatory 1yr in jail. rape 2 or three kids all you get is probation? when you touch any child inappropriately its not a mistake, its a mental sickness that i don't think they can ever
control. thats why there all 2,3,5 time offenders.give them a fair trial then throw away the key after 2 convictions. sad that two lives have to be ruined first but at least it wont go on and on.

Being a victim of Child Molestation, I am still effected by it still to this day, even though it happened 17 years ago. I have two boys of my own and I love them more than anything in this world. My oldest son is the age I was when I was molested and I look at him and can't believe that someone can do something so disgusting to a child of that age or any age for that matter. I was 3 years old and my "step father" stole my innocents from me. When I finally found the courage to say something, I did, but he only served 5 years. I guess for being honest and confessing to the crime he got 10 years serve 4 years, but some class he had to take caused him to serve the fifth year. He didn't just molest me, he beat my mom and my brother, and my little sister (his only biological child) had to witness it all. To him all of this, the sexual, mental, and physical abuse was a form of control. No matter what anyone says, I strongly believe with everything in me, he molested my brother also. My brother was one when it was being done to me, about the age you start potty training and my "step father" would take my brother into the bathroom for hours in the middle of the night and not let anyone in. Go figure! My brother doesn't remember anything like that, so maybe he just blocked it out. I think that anyone sick enough to put the hands or any part of there body on a child should be put to death, not given the chance to do it again. They truly are MONSTERS and they are every where! I don't think is fair that our taxes go to taking care of them, when there are many of us that live day to day, not knowing where our next meal is gonna come from, or if we're gonna have a place to lay our heads. While they are eating 3 meals a day and doing whatever else they want. My "step father", I believe got his GED while serving his time. That's not fair! He shouldn't of had that right at all. Something more needs to be done to stop these MONSTERS from going free.

sex offenders are not all the same,when you do it 2,3,4, times your not right in the head.1x is a mistake and if they really want to be help the get it and dont ever do it again.ya'll have a right to be upset,sex offenders do get off most times.but i know some that got yrs for there offense.kids are innocent and should never be hurt/abuse sexually and physcaily,people make bad chooses and if a person can kill a person and get loe time,what makes you think he wont kill again.you never know,its a 50/50.nobodys perfect.
