Easthampton man gets probation in girl's alcohol related death

In what prosecutors say is an unprecedented case, an Easthampton man gets five years probation after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter for supplying vodka a teenage girl drank before her death.

The friendship with you child comes later - unfortunately, not for this young lady. Hope he and his daughter have learned a valuable lesson. Shame it had to be at such a high price.
QuestionAuthorit y Montrose, NY	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #2 Jul 3, 2008 Seems strange that if you give a kid alcohol and they die of alcohol poisoning you get probation, if you give a kid alcohol and they go kill themselves in a car crash, your punishment is much more severe. If only my parents would of bought me vodka at 15! We had to be much more creative as kids to get our booze!
