QIC wrote: <quoted text> no one died. you're delusional got it? you live in a fantasy world we get it. enjoy life. stop living your life based on the death of a false god. I am sorry to upset you , however God is not false to me . He has saved me many times and still does daily. So I am sorry that you have not yet seen what great works he does. When you wake up each morning do you ever wonder why you do ? When you see someone you love , ever wonder what makes you love them? When you cry ever wonder why you are crying? When you hurt ever wonder why you hurt? When you are happy ever wonder what really was behind that happiness. I am not saying life is perfect , just know for sure it would be alot worse for me , if God was not in it.

EssentialSalts wrote: <quoted text> I would love for more level-headed Christians to come in and speak against his views and methods. There have been some before, but not enough. So much anger here. I posted here before, but with others posting their own religious views I think I got lumped in with the "he's crazy!" crowd. Too much anger and name calling and circular arguments. If I tell you that I believe in God and that Christ died for my sins same as yours, many scoff at the idea. That's fine, that's their choice and more power to them. It saddens me greatly that many don't believe or believe wrongly. There really is no point in arguing the matter continually, as you (and I'm speaking generally here, not specifically) are never going to convince me there isn't a God and I'm never going to convince you there is. I can try to teach you, such as my limited abilities allow, but whether you accept is entirely upon you. As for some of the previous messages: Why do most people continue to use the Old Testament to prove their "the Bible is bad!" points? When Christ died and returned to Heaven a new and better covenant was created, called the New Testament. The Old Testament was never meant for the gentiles, as it was specifically created for the Jews of the time. And while we may read it to help understand the NT, we, as Christians do not follow its rules save for 9 of the 10 Commandments.(We no longer remember the Sabbath.) While I have not read every post made by "Yes and Amen", I don't think his beliefs and mine are the same.

Too much anger and name calling and circular arguments. Your post makes it unclear as to where the anger is. If you meant my post, I assure you there was no anger there. If you meant here in the topic, there is some anger. My goal is not to convert anyone, I do not expect that to happen. I do honestly hope that people read what I post and dwell on it a bit and possibly get something out of it if they are a religious person, but I understand that the views of most people are steadfast and most likely aren't changing any time soon. If you read YAA's posts above yours, you get a basic idea of what he's like. He'll make a ridiculous claim such as: "Homosexuality leads to pedophilia. If you're willing to have sex with a big boy, you're willing to do it with a little one as well." Several people will then make rebuttals, and he'll cower, but not before going back to abortion and arguing against it. So no matter what you argue, it goes back to abortion and pedophilia. That is precisely why I said there should be more level-headed Christians who come in. YAA's views are extreme, and people like him have the loudest voices because they shout over everyone else. They think they're right about everything and everyone else is wrong. Now, I may not be a Christian, but I don't think it's fair that he gets to be viewed as a representative of that religion. There have been plenty of Christians who came in and stated they were against bible study in public schools (and showed empathy in the process) and stated that YAA's views do not reflect their own. To be blunt, YAA is a paranoid bigot who thinks that homosexuals are trying to control him through television, government, schools, and abduct our children to sell them as sex slaves, and that lying, God-hating liberal atheists are trying to destroy religion. And he says he's the one who is open-minded because of his views and everyone else's is closed. Do you understand the problem here? It's more an attempt to show why his radical views are wrong, which several people here have done innumerable times, and yet he won't accept evidence that shows why he's wrong. That displays the inability to learn.

Since god didn't condemn those in multiple marriages, and in fact raised them up to be kings and founders of his "chosen people", does that mean that plural marriages are okay, so long as you don't get divorced? After all, it seems Jesus just spoke about divorce - so you can have as many wives as you want, so long as you have them all at once.(I guess that is why there isn't a prohibition on lesbians - because if a guy married multiple women, he may want a group mating). Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools: 1:23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping animals. 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 1:26 For this cause God gave them up to vile affections. For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one towards another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventers of evil things, disobedient to parents, 1:31 Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 1:32 Who, knowing the judgment of God, that they who commit such things are worthy of death; not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. ...

Do you still believe the "Building" makes the difference? Or that Christ can call anyone to Himself? Blessings to you, and your's :-) The building is just that.. a stone structure. The body of Christ, it's members, are the Church. Christ calls everyone, but not everyone answers. That's why the world is filled with denominations: Baptists, Catholics, Mormons, Methodists, Jehovah Witnesses, et. al. They teach a perversion of the Bible. Roman's, Chapter 16, verse 16: "The churches of Christ salute you." - Does that tell you anything at all? Baptists, the ones I've studied at least (and to understand and refute those who talk in error, you must study them) say you need only grace to be saved. Saved by grace, a recurring mantra in most Baptist churches, but nowhere in the Bible does it say such a thing. Catholics.. pray to Mary. Why? She didn't die on the Cross for the remission of our sins. Matthew wrote of Jesus' words: Call no man your father, you have only one father, who is in Heaven. And yet, they call their priest's father. The Pope, the vicar of Christ, no call for that in the Bible. Mormons.. have an "additional" teaching text, the Book of Mormon. Why? Everything needed to be saved was already within the Bible. Their founder, Joseph Smith says an angel came to him and spoke to him; complete nonsense. This need, this uncontrollable urge, to add to God's word is leading people to a path of destruction. And one of the main reasons the atheists and agnostics point and laugh at anyone who claim to be in the faith. How can we expect anyone to listen to what we say, of our warnings, when even among those that believe in God, disagree. You can no more say that homosexuals are the leading cause of pedophiles than I can say guns cause crimes. It's not the sinner we hate, but the sin. We love everyone, especially those who would laugh and persecute us, mock us with their words and actions. It is their sin I despise. Take up your Bible and read it with an open heart and mind. Listen to what it tells you. It aches my heart to know that people will die that could have easily been saved, but what hurts even more is knowing that some of them that will die, will do so thinking they were right when they went to a denominational church. I know some of you are going: What's it to you? Why worry about me? Just mind your own business. And I try and I will, because if you don't listen I can't do anything more for you.

If religion is going to be taught in school, there shouldn't be a bias; All religions should be taught. Not just Christianity. That'd be pretty stupid to subject them to only one religion.
