This is from 10/07. Has anyone noticed it's now 7/08? Let's just wait and see the length of jail time the recently arraigned receive, now the the government "finally" got the message, OK. Look at the Postville, IA "detainees now in jail for 6 months, who are shocked to find out I.C.E. means business." Give the government time to do the jobs we've been asking them to do for years. We've made great strides! Now go ahead and give me a nuts, lemon, etc. I find them humorous!

It makes me sad to see my child who is half mexican ( his father is an immagrant ) will have to grow up in a place like this. And would you sleep good at night knowing you took someones father, boyfreind, best freind, life .. away from me and my child ( who are america ). I think being american i should be able to be free and love and spend life with whoever i want, but if he were to be deported, then what .... I lose?

I am reading these posts from another state in the West. We were thinking of vacationing in Lake Geneva. Understand that deporting people looking for work and a better life is not going to make your life better. In times of trouble the poor always get blamed. Illegal immigrants pay tons of taxes and get no benefits from them. They clean our houses and cut our grass, load our trucks and do heavy labor. I have never seen people who work harder and with more determination. They take any job to feed their families and then are at church every week. On the contrary, corporate executives walk out of jobs with millions for bankrupting companies. The blame is square on George W. Bush who sent thousands of illegal immigrant children to war as well as american citizens. This country is full of hate and loss of hope--we turn on the defenseless, the human beings we don't like and we don't even know them. We stand up to buy and shop and eat and we do not stand up for other human beings because why? What exactly, truthfully are they taking away. I grew up in Chicago and saw wave after wave of immigrants legal and illegal. And many people hated them too. Can we all grow up? Bigotry is bigotry.
