Suit accuses Walgreen Co. of job bias against blacks

"Black managers are assigned to stores in black neighborhoods more often than one would expect". It sounds kind of racist to allege that working in black neighborhoods is inferior to working in a white neighborhood.

Perhaps the proliferation of organizations, awards, universities and the like were born from the lack of opportunities for blacks in this country....DUH

Keep in mind that Voting Rights and Civil Rights were passed just 40 years ago.

By the way....racism is born out power. It's ok to be ethno "centric" if you will, but if you use it to oppress, that's racist.

remember, when the inevitable war happens that the gravy train will be over. our economy will be ruined and you pigs who filed all of those bogus lawsuits will have to get JOBS, if anyone is stupid and foolish enough to hire you!

Really? What Publics do you work at? I don't see nor practice what you describe. Or are you describing your fantasy?

There is more to discrimination than the black/white thing. Discrimination in any form is the same, just different players. Of course, you wouldn't recognize that, what with all the time and effort you spend on practicing your self-righteous attitude.

How are black magazines an example of racism? There are magazines for every interest area. That is about as far from racist as you can get. Miss Black America is a weak comparison in that it is an event that is irrelevant. There is nothing to stop any person from joining the NAACP. Historically, can you say that of all predominately white organizations? For an organization to be racist it would have to exclude other racial groups from participation or there has to be no viable alternative for said racial groups to gain recognition in other ways. Historically, award shows like the Oscars and Grammys ignored or discounted black achievement.
